Finally wrangled that $1,000 gift certificate from the stealership; seems to be a simple case of miscommunication, though, so we're not too peeved.

The owner of the dealership did have his #99 Dodge GT2 Championship Edition Viper (formerly owned by Bob Lutz, who signed the battery cover), and his #01 Dodge Viper Voodoo Edition ACR on display, so I can only assume he's doing rather well financially,

You should be able to find a sealer at any auto parts store. It's basically just a thick primer that etches the metal as well.

You may get the rust off the surface just sanding or grinding, but there will still be residue and "roots" below that. The blasters can be had for about $30 and you will find a ton of uses for them. Aside from cutting the metal out or using a rust converter, it's the only sure way to remove the rust.

I saw those roots when cleaning the sway-bar...

Time to search for handheld blasters locally and search for a compressor too

Iron Maiden was good. The first half of the show they played new songs SO I only knew a couple, But the second half was EPIC when They Broke out with a bunch of oldies!!!
