There needs to be some clause in either his motorcycle insurance or the other guy's insurance that if the accident isn't your fault, your medical bills will be paid by either your or his insurance (preferably his).

There should be, if not he should go fuck with his agent. On top of that you should be able to bill health insurance and let them subrogate the claims back to wherever they are supposed to really go. That blows goats though.

If he does end up being liable based on real crap coverage all the way around the hospital will definitely settle for somewhere around a dime on the dollar. Still hurts, but good to know.

Since we're on the subject of brakes...pad suggestions? We've always just thrown Wagners on our trucks since, well, they're trucks...Akebono? Hawk? ATE? Ramalamadingdong? Give Peace a Chance?

Do you drive aggressive? *assumes yes*

Axxis Deluxe pads are sweet. Hardly any dust, good stopping performance and street use doesn't make them noisy.

Not to mention 250 a set...yeeeesh

got to pay to play, I spose

And that car is even sexier in person and sexier yet from the inside. Enough to where it somehow almost made me do the REALLY stupid.

Just buy the damn car or buy a brand new M5 and quit bitching about what to buy.

I used Hawk and EBC on the Cobra and loved them. The last GT had Hawk Carbons and they dusted like a fucking tornado. Whatever you get, make sure it's ceramic.

Win! Let me know when you get it too, I am driving up ASAP to fuck your car.

$54 for the M5, but still only $109 for the W210

$250 is retarded

With luxury tax and everything else it will be over $300k

and I pretty much doubt it'll be an M5 now, something about having to deal with two car seats that fucks that idea up

In Soviet MN, my car fucks you.

Yeah disregard that, that was MSRP; where are you getting your prices from?

If you just do normal driving, go to AutoZone and buy some Duralast Golds. They're made by Satisfied and are actually very good pads. I use them on my daily drivers.

Duralast Golds are available, but only for the fronts and they don't mention if they're ceramic or semi-metallic. While I'd prefer ceramic, I'm not so sure dust would be an issue given the massive centers on the E55

I am sad that I don't have my kids this Halloween. I guess I will just have to terrorize my nieces and nephew.

Ryan1, what EBC pads did you use ?

Greens.

That's what I planned to buy for the jeep....yellow's are $$$

I had the Yellows first when I planned to track it, and they were pretty agressive for street use. I think they made a Red for street use too, but I was told the Green's were the most forgiving, and they worked really well. The Hawk Pads I had have all been very dusty, but the last pair I used on the GT was insane. I swear that car would pull a negative G stopping. They worked great with the Brembos.

I bought mine from Dave Zeckhausen. That is his list price.

Had those on my 328i and switched to the Axxis. In the BM'er world they are about the same price and I'd take the Axxis pads anyday. Perfect compromise for the street and didn't make a mess. Standard OE BMW pads REALLY make dust though and most of the replacements do as well.

That being said I wouldn't spend a bunch extra on them :)
