My dad did that with the sport court under his car, but he was backing out and gave it a little too much gas. The tiles went flying though instead of just clumping up like in that vid. It was pretty funny.

We use the attic space for HVAC, typically. This house? Not so typical.

But yes, having basements for HVAC, electrical, and washer/dryer is definitely the way to go if your water table is low enough

All three bids include relocating the unit(s) into the attic, redoing the ducting the right way, adding new return(s), and extending the gas line(s), FWIW. We're probably going to go the two single stage units route.
