Of course you still have some yards with the cranky old man running it who either doesn't want people on the property at all or doesn't give a damn about anything, but they are rare given all the goverment and EPA BS involved.

I wish you was closer to me ... the junk yards around here suck ...

Pull-a-part ( the newest one here) is ok ... put parts do not last there long at all ...

I really want to jump into my truck's engine ... but can't afford to let it sit long at all ...

I wish I could find a cheap old truck to drive while mine is down ... One day, I hope to find a 3/4 ton truck to pull mine on a trailer ...

You can go to www.car-part.com. They have an online database of yards and you can search by region, zip, etc. I won't deal with a place unless they have their inventory computerized and online, of course the only things I buy from a yard are drivetrain or interior parts.

I don't know what the market is like there, but Craigslist is a gold mine for cheap old trucks around here. You probably don't have to deal with snow a lot either, so I'm sure you could find a cheap 2WD for cheap.

I have an eye exam tomorrow. Haven't worn my contacts in 2 years. I'm interested to see how bad my vision really is. My freaking license expires in a couple days so I have to be able to pass the damn exam.

Best of luck to ya Bro ... I need to set me up (or get my wife to set me up) an eye exam ... Sometimes it gets hard to focus on things and gets agrivating, especially at night when I work ...

It's been about 3 years or so since I went in last. I hate contacts so I get glasses but I rarely ever wear them. The worst part is picking frames, it took me over an hour last time. :suicide-santa:

forsale is BLOWING UP!

Last time I went in, asked what insurance would pay for, went to frames less than 100$ and asked the lady what looked best on me, find some that looked fine, ordered them and walked out in less than 15min.

Yeah, what's that about?

I was trying to find something that offered lots of coverage and protection since I wore them at work, but I didn't want something gangly. I also had to have Transitions lenses and they can only do them in certain frames. I liked them because I could go from the galvanized roof at noon, down into the dark store interior without removing them and having to refocus, plus I could see all the time.

I have had glasses three times. Each time I totally destroyed the frames, so contacts are the only thing that works for me. The only thing that sucks is I can't weld with them in, but that's not an issue with no job.

People are too stupid to make one post and combine items. Perhaps we need another rule change.

I would raise the post count requirement higher.

I agree, I think that is a swell idea.

What do you do?

Steel building erection, mostly commercial. Built a lot of Dollar General and O'Reilly's Auto Parts stores and a few big horse barns, shops and homes.

come build me one PPPPPPLLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEE!!!!

i think you mentioned that you built my local orileys or was it the dollar general i forget!

I have built a couple of both in your area. I don't think we did anything in San Marcos itself though. We did 3 in Austin, 1 in Bastrop, 1 in Johnson City, 1 in New Braunfels. A whole lot more in TX but a little further away like Killeen, Pleasant Grove, Waco, Lufkin, Palestine, Stonewall, etc. etc. I could go on for days.
