Oh yea, I need to get those pictures for you don't I. Once I got the damper closed down some it holds just about dead nuts on desired temp, cooked some chicken with it last night. smile.png

Do you like it? Does it make cooking at low temps easier?

For some random reason I am thinking pizza on the egg this weekend using Sean's dough recipe of course.

Why strange? It's great on the egg. Either direct on the grates (requires a bit more heat control) or on a big ole stone. I use a piece of slate from the landscaping section at home depot AND the deflector thingee from BGE.

I have control on my egg... Tell me more about cooking pizza on the grates. smile.png

I am awaiting pictures of this control system. cool.png

You want a picture of a 12" x 12" piece of 1" thick slate?

No, I want to see how his BBQ Guru looks installed on the egg. I am thinking and curious.

I don't have a guru, but a Rock's Stoker. Rewiring it in the not so distant future....that is if my house doesn't sell yet.

I've never tried below 160F, but that worked. 200 is teh easy.

You may be familiar with the name Colin Furze. The gentleman has made a name for himself by crafting some of the most impressive small-displacement two-wheelers around, and his four-wheel creation – a mobility scooter – lives up to the same level of insanity. Thanks to a 125cc engine lifted from a dirt bike, the machine can whip to over 70 mph. If that isn't terrifying enough for you, the vehicle does it using the same wheels and tires as the electric scooters you see whirring around your local loathsome neighborhood box store.

Furze recently took his death machine out for a little fun on a snow-covered stretch of tarmac and brought along a video camera for the ride. Hilarity ensues.

Really wanted to see the scooter crash and roll, but I guess it might have since I didn't watch the whole thing.

I don't think it does.

The drifting looked cool, then I thought on a sled it would be like a hundred times more awesome then that.

I've always been super interested in people who can take small displacement motors and make them crazy fast.

I don't get impressed by a guy who takes a v8 and makes it have 500+ HP, I get impressed when that one guy takes a four banger and makes it 500+ HP.

I need to make a trim piece for my kick pods. Might do it with wood, but wondering if anyone has seen large rubber grommet / seals.

Side view of what I'm thinking:

It would drop right over the top cutout, and cover the "rim"

Diameter would be around 120mm, but I'd buy several different sizes to be safe. Going to check mcmaster-carr.

looks nice, let me know what you come up with in terms of grills for the w4's. i'd like to see someone try making one before i do haha.

Error that I keep getting...Anyone else?

It's just as simple with the 4 banger as well. Boost and computer controls makes everything easy.

Oldsmobile had a 1,000hp 4cyl 20 years ago, boost does wonders.

There actually hat l4s. They make grills to go along with them, so if I decide to use some I'll be lazy and just buy'm. :P

Meh, that isn't impressive either. What is impressive is HP per cubic inch that lasts for 50k miles or some long term period. Pretty easy to make absurd power, but to keep it running is another story.

Then sell them, take the money and buy the W4's which are far superior and pocket the difference in dough :)

I'm going to buy them in a few weeks, and try them both out.

Then I'll decide what to keep. :)

Yeah I was thinking the same. Boost like crazy, and just run the shit into the ground, but hey, it made ___HP!
