  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

Aaron, no worries. The NSX has to be one of the largest let downs ever once you drive it. Absolutely a fucking turd. I seriously couldn't believe how terrible it was.

Wait, what? Why? Not enough umph?

It didn't do anything right. If I wanted boring and fast, I'd buy a 300ZX or a mid-90's Supra. Both are WAY more fun to drive than the NSX. Then you add a crap interior and it was a joke.

Was so frustrated I went out and drove a Corvette afterwards which bested it in every way....and I despise the Corvette.

Is it all Corvettes that you despise or just the newer ones? And why the dislike?

J

I was referring to the C5 which I drove at that time. Not sure what's to like. Classic GM shit. Interior is terrible, ergonomics are terrible, it drives like a pickup truck (albeit on rails comparatively), loud, uncomfortable, looks like a chicks car, and of course the average owner has a few screws loose.

Take your Firebird. There are some things that bug you about it I'm sure. Not so amusingly those things still existed in the C5 Corvette. The 6 was a bit better, but nothing so exciting. Bang for the buck it wouldn't get my money.

There are certainly issues with the Firebird. Right now its the paint, the desire for a bit more 'get up and go', the doors, and door panels or lack thereof.

J

Not at all what I meant by issues. I was referring to things you think are not right or could be better. My list gets huge in a GM and not so much so in other cars.

I always liked older women. smile.png

It's usually been bitches in mid 20s-30s that are either gnarly skanks, or with kids, or just fucking OLD people.

This time around it's 90% my age.

Is there a GM you LIKE Sean? I'm not talking current production, I mean EVER.

Vega.

I posted that girl durring a run of chicks with drinks I was doing. But she is repoastable fo sho.

In Corvette's I like the 68. I actually had good luck with my 76 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham as well, but I only paid $10 and drove it nearly 30k miles without fixing anything but rusty metal.

I have a soft spot for GTO's, for a while I really wanted a GN, thought about a 2nd Gen C/K, and there are a few others.

I am actually not super brand loyal, but rather particular. After driving my Gal for a few hundred thousand miles and comparing it comfort wise to so many other cars it soured me. Obviously more recently I've become even more picky.

If they had not scrapped the Trailblazer SS and updated the interior like they did in the Buick, it'd probably be my next car. The lack of a v8 or any real power though scraps ever non-GMC/Cadillac truck and since they drive like shit they are out to.

This minidsp app is the shit.

I've had many gms but sadly I think my next truck will be a f250

I've had all GM and a ton of Fords. I'm on my first foreign car and I actually like it, aside from the rust. I don't like much anything from GM after 88. Hell, even the midsize and compacts of the 80s and on were shit for GM. Just too much cheap plastic and rattles and what not. Ford has their issues as well, but I've had good luck with ever Ford I've ever owned and I'm from a Ford family, so it's natural to me.

Same here, the A-Plan is a nice perk too.

I cannot name a current chevy I like. Especially trucks. My expedition has been nothing but problems.

But I have seen the same in my friends Caddy. And his costs more to make it run. It wears faster too. He baby's it but it shows stress so much faster. Every winter it gets worse. Maybe Fords just do better in the cold.

The only GM I really like in current vehicles are the Yukon Denali or Acadia Denali. The pic ups with the Denali package look like plastic shit though. I'm inside and out.

And Stefan, pm me your addy. Today I found your chip which means it was empty. Sorry. Full now. Good sampling, by no means comprehensive. I'm sure you'll hate some of it and like others. Hard to know what though.

Not so amusingly I couldn't format the second card. Perhaps I am computer illiterate, but no idea. Conveniently I had one the same size in my phone and I am going to upgrade it. Sending you mine.

I like the new Regal, but that's not really GM given the Opel division, or hell, Germany as a whole. It's evolution in design and engineering is evident that it's roots are not GM.

Should have seen the Opel's before GM ruined them. In their time they were as nice as any German manufacture, then the GM cheapen it up owners came along and ruined them. Not surprisingly when left to their own who comes back and smartens up first.

How do you find a laptop repair place. My Lenovo needs a new proc fan and the electrical connectors for the display are lose so I get deadlines that I can "fold/push" back into working.

I've had a C5 vette, 2 ls1 camaros, 72 P/U, my current 09 1500, various others. All have treated me well but my wifes '12 Ford edge is loaded. I live it. My buddy has a new f250 diesel that is way more nice to drive than my truck.

Will do. Thanks.

The app was a bit confusing at first but I got it figured out now. I have a feeling the stereo will sound so much better after a few weeks-the ms8 was too limiting.

Also sweet they have the t/a with distance already listed. Figure it's going to be the last thing I touch, that and eq, but should be nice.

Custom biquads are sweet if something unusual pops up.

Actually using a couple to taper the response of the JL comps on my boat. Way too hot in the highs and too hot in the upper mid. 10 minutes of dinking around and BAM fixed. Almost want to run one just as an eq in between my music player and the car stereo. A few things I'd alter on the Benz, but it isn't so bad.
