Today I had a remote starter put in the wife's car. (2012 toyota se v6) The car has the push button igniation system which requires a bypass module. The remote start works fine except when you enter the car it shuts off and you have to restart it with the push button. I was told that with these new push button systems that is how it has to work. Does anyboy know if that is true?

Does the key have to be inserted in the ignition cylinder to usse the push button? I don't know exactly how they complete the circuit for ignition.

There is no key, just a button.

SO anyone can start and steal your car if you leave the doors unlocked or does it have an RF chip in a fob or something that has to be in a certain range?

Mine is smart enough to realize when it is in the car or outside of it. The barrier is nutso accurate. Works fine in he rear hatch, but 6" out the window and it won't start or if already started won't go into gear. Gives the "No Key Detected" warning.

Now that I've moved into Kansas I really need to get on a program to start getting myself healthy and lose as much fat as possible for the wedding (April 20).

I went to the store today and planned some healthy lunches. I'm going to keep it simple and incorporate as much veggies as possible, use fruits for my sweets, and use starches such as sweet potatoes for carbs and of course meat for my protein (and fat)

I really need to find a good workout program to get me going. What I really need is some specific goal to work on (ie: Bike X Miles, Run X Miles, Lift X lbs). That is how I have always done my best. I'd love to pick up a mountain bike so I could ride the some of the areas and the county back roads...

Mike, start by lifting. Make an easy schedule and stick with it. It will accelerate fat loss more than anything. Changing how you look in the mirror will motivate you more than anything. It doesn't take much if you lift and change your diet.

As for cardio, walking, biking, jogging, it is almost all the same. Swimming has the upper hand if you have joint troubles. Sean said it. If you are going to spend time worried about a number worry about heart rate and for how long. What most people don't understand is cardio is is better to be used as something to help your circulatory and pulmonary systems up and running. However it is a great way to wear them out.

I don't work out, but i stay active just by doing shit all day. Working on heavy machinery all day long is pretty much like lifting, but i don't build any muscle. Anyways, when all this shit with my bloodsugar started, I was put on an all protein diet. If I had any carbs, I had to take in double the protein versus the carbs. I lost 17 lbs in 3 weeks just by following that diet. I would skip the veggies and shit, but that's me. I do have broccolli and carrots every night with dinner.

What a beat down in the BCS championship tonight.

Sure makes A&M look good being the only team to beat the National Champs

That was a pitiful showing by Notre Dame.

They should have never been there. The only reason they were is because they are Notre Dame. They bring in money no matter what. If the playoff system was in place already, they would have lost the first game and it would have been done.

Work is going to be interesting. We have a die hard Bama fan and he's been hearing a bunch of shit all year from the ND fans. As is normal with ND fans, today will be a day full of excuses.

Sorry I could not log on last night, I kept getting an error.

This car has a fob that has to be present to do anything. The fob controls everything. The remote start has a bypass that will allow the car to start, but nothing else. Once you open the door it shuts off and the fob operation takes over, then you have to restart it.

Only fans worse than ND fans are GB fans.

Kinda on the fence with a thought. My plan was to move or build in a few years, but with my current house is almost paid off, I am thinking of adding on to the house 12'x25' of living room and then a garage 25'x30'.

Back in 1999 I paid $62,500 for it and current market price is $118,000. I hate to borrow money, but it would appear I have plenty of borrowing power.

I guess I will continue that thought while I finish up this camera install.

SSA members not withstanding, I would put Duke/Steeler/Yankee fans in front of both of them. ;)

Yesterday a Chinese businessman pleaded guilty to selling pirated software—used by defense, space technology and engineering businesses—worth a retail value of over $100 million.

A plethora of sophisticated software was stolen from an estimated 200 American manufacturers and sold onto 325 black market buyers in 61 countries between 2008 and 2011, according to Reuters. Software made by the likes of Microsoft, Oracle, Rockwell Automation, Agilent Technologies and Siemens was sold on for between $20 and $1,200. Some of the software, however, officially retailed for more than $1 million apiece.

According to Reuters the businessman, Xiang Li, of Chengdu, China, trolled black market internet forums to find the software, then advertised it on his website. US agents spend 18 months working undercover in order to finally catch Li, eventually buying software worth $150,000 off him for just a couple of thousand dollars. He was finally lured to the US territory of Saipan from China, under the premise of discussing a dodgy joint business venture. Whoops.

Dean Kamen, the serial inventor best known for bringing us the Segway Personal Transporter in 2001, has come up with a new electronic transport system, this time designed to move predigested food out of your stomach to help you lose weight.

Yeah baby!

Haven't models been doing this for years? It's called finger down the throat.
