But my tower dip down low enough for me, and with authority too, just ned the inaudible stuff down deep so I think I'm gonna pick up a bass shaker or two for movies only.

I'm getting away without a substage for music just fine.

do not want to go into work tomorrow

Got the towers working, somehow the switch on the back of the crossover that switchs between 3way and 2way got pushed to 3way no idea how though.

Got the xbox hooke up but when I hook the audio RCA cables into the system get a loud ass humming noise, any ideas why? Can't imagine where the interference would be comming from.

I'm not sure wtf it is, it could be a ground loop, but in the cable from the xbox to my XLR to RCA cables?? It dosen't show up in my computer hooking up to it, or the cd player hooked up to it so I'm clueless when it comes to this.

Could always start plugging things into cheater plugs, if the noise goes away you know it's a loop. Other than that, don't really know what could cause it...I had a nasty hum with the Decware CSP pre, but I found out my power amp was hypersensitive to AC filament hum, ended up selling the pre :)

Talking to the bank about financing for a '03 Spec V tomorrow... I don't think I'll have a problem :D

Whats a cheater plug?? I'm stupid here on this aspect.

But Hooking the xbox straight up to the preamp dosen't work, and hooking the xbox up to the tv and then the TV to the pre dosen't work either. Nasty humming either way, but through a computer or CD player works.

Oh and I'm watching SWAT right now, and it does really fricking good on movies even without a substage. I'm througly impressed with this design for under 500 bucks for the pair of them (keep in mind I didn't have to buy crossover components for the towers, I'm running active crossed over at ~2khz).

Basically a three-prong to two-prong adapter. Getting rid of the third wire often times breaks the ground loop, but I'd only use it for testing because running grounded gear without a ground is asking to get bit by 120VAC if anything ever goes wrong.

After almost a month with no bass, I'm finally ready to build an enclosure for the 10W0s to fit my car ... Not nearly as fancy as the one I designed for the GF's car or my C10a enclosure (which I lent out to my best friend's GF and has suspiciously gone "missing"), but I believe it will sound good ... We'll see tomorrow night whether or not I've lost my touch :P

I need to make a little video consisting of a song in the background and just a bunch of pictures with a basic pop transition (or similar) every X seconds. Then I'll need to burn this file to a DVD to allow it to play through a DVD player (not so important, CD-R will work if I have to use one).

Can I do this with PowerPoint? Save as a what ... JPEG, GIF ??

I can figure out how to get the pictures on slides and how to adjust the transitions and time the picture is on the screen, however, I don't know how to get the song to play throughout the entire 'movie' ... from the first slide to the last.
