I was told but I don't remember why. They were imported for some specific reason (or activity) then he was told he could get them titled so he bought them, then it turned out that he couldn't.

Whats his asking price? :)

Not a clue, not even sure when the last time they ran was.

Side note... Someone put a stock (run-flat tires) C6 Z06 into the 10's.

If they can't be titled in Kansas, they're no effing way Maryland would even look at them :lol2:

I am writing a document telling my employees they are no longer allowed to email, that ought to go over well :D

haha excellent, make them break out the morse code

You scoff, but here it is:

Inter-Company Correspondence

Rule #1: Speak in Person or Call (never send an email)

The only Exceptions to Rule #1:

o Information where you do not expect an answer, or where no further verbal explanations are necessary. i.e. passing lead contact information (Even then further explanations should be done on the phone: what to do with the info, what are the consequences for our business, etc.)

o Assignments for your co-workers. The email is to confirm what was discussed and puts the assignments in writing for all to see. In addition to that I would put it on the document on the server in order to follow up accordingly.

There are only 4 types of correspondence that we do amongst each other and here is the explanation of how we will handle this correspondence.

Important & Urgent

These issues should be taken care of right away and require a phone call.

Important & Not Urgent

Can be done later, but shouldn

Whatever I get to replace the van is getting titled/registered in NC...no way I'm even going to bother with VA's headaches.

North Carolina will pretty much let anything run...my last "inspection" in October consisted of forking over $15, chatting about how the fishing was last weekend, who won at the short track last weekend, and going about my way :D

while i'm glad illinois doesn't have inspections, it's nice to have a neighboring state that does. i mean, if you're in the market for a used vehicle, it makes more sense to buy from the state that does inspections, though after reading jim's post, i dunno what good it would do. it just seems to make more sense.

and i'm off to work!

Unreal. MD shops use it as a corrupt way to make more money on people who have no choice. Sickening.

I thought of you the other day Jim, I found out that a farmer around us has two Unimogs in his shed (although due to some stipulation he can't get them titled... so they just sit there).

i want ze axles

Portal axles on a Jeep...yum :)

We have inspections here. IMO it works rather well. We dont have the junkers that other states *Cough Arkansas* that Ive lived in has.

There is the occational junker, but as soon as a police officer sees it the vehicle is on spot judged allowable or not.

As always there are ways around it, like paying a little extra for dark tint or so on, but The revenu goes into the roads so whatever...

Here its new cars get a 2 year break, then every year after that.

Breaks including parking, tint, emmissions, all lights, all body pannels intact, you even have to have the extention to a breather if your car came with one.

Arkansas has no iunspection anymore and on top of that....if your cats fall off you dont have to replace. Mine just happen to fall off from a hacksaw.

I was told my many that I had the nices sounding truck they had ever heard. '94 TBI hooker headers true duel exaust with center x pipe ran back to duel 40 series flow masters 3"in and 3" out. dumped right after the cab. Oh I loved that truck :( lasted into the 160k miles, and I was ROUGH on that truck.

Ok enough with my side track topic...oh wait! Its the hOp :D

back to the grind.

Bah, actually have to start studying soon :(
