IIRC dave's magnum had plenty of room for 8s in the doors.

challenger is def my pick. but i don't think i've seen real interior pics either, that camaro's interior made me want to throw up

i love the camaro's outside, and the mustang's. the challanger's is sick as well. however, both the mustang's and camaro's interiors leave alot to be desired.

The front baffle on my speakers is pissing me off something fierce.

Happen to know any tricks for getting rid of scratches on ply?

Picked some up from the base when I was flushing the front baffle...I was going at it lightly with 320grit on a random orbit, but I'm afraid I'll go through the front veneer if I go too far down, in which case I'll be le pissed...

Dents, yes, scratches, not so much. If 320 on a random orbital didn't do it, I'm not sure you can really get them out then.

Speaking of going through the front veneer, thats what I did on my f'ing baffle. I didn't when I was using my random orbital, but when I switched to hand sanding using a block I went through.

I am le pissed.

Ok, so my front baffle is oak ply with 1" wide oak trim on it (so when I do the roundover on it, you don't see plywood edge). Now what I did was I messed up in a spot when I glued the trim on and I had it to low and wasen't paying attention and sanded the veneer of the plywood. Now the baffle is basically fudgeed.

I see a couple options here,

-cut off the trim and redo it on a new baffle (involves cutting into a new sheet of ply too)

-leave it (not going to happen)

-say fudge it and paint the entire thing black

-finish what I was doing, get some red oak veneer, veneer the top and then do the roundover on it so it will look like solid oak front baffle.

I'm leaning towards getting some veneer.

Well, sanding did make them a lot less noticeable, now they're to the point where I can't feel them running a fingernail over it...I guess once I get a few coats of sanding sealer and stain on it it'll be impossible to tell from more than an inch away anyway...

Tomorrow, hopefully it warms up a little so I can run the planer outside without freezing...because right now my options are either freezing my balls off outside or spending an entire weekend with the shop-vac picking up pine shavings from every little crevice of the basement...neither of which are particularly appealing to me...

evening folks

If you would make a box that goes over the outfeed part of the planer, that has room for a board to pass through with carpet that will scrap the chips off the board, you wouldn't have near the mess.

*not sure if I explained that right or not...*

Actually, I need to find the original e-brake release cable and hook that back up. Not sure where I put it when I took everything apart but the girlfriend hit the e-brake the other night and engaged it so I either have to find where I put the cable or figure out a way to disengage it without the cable.
