for home audio, is it crazy to assume that you could just run a HT setup off receiver power? i need to find a setup for her parents' downstairs room but don't even know where to start. don't want anything too expensive, i'm guessing a budget of 2k-8k but that's totally off the top of my head.

I think you should do a full horn setup, using the BVR frugual horn spawns... Something like the Bruce or anything using like an 8" driver.

Statistically it should be 50. I really don't see why statistics wouldn't prevail give or take a few. I choose to give because I figure this group would include a few that could actually tell a difference
