  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

this will definitely be 3-way active frontstage, and may have subs running IB behind the seats.

for now i have to find amps that i like the look of, that are of high enough quality, and within my price range of $1

I'd probably not use the Seas for just a mb, but I wouldn't use the L8 then either. Something about playing an octave and a half doesn't make me want to splurge that far.

answer it please, just needing RCAs and figure i'll make them myself. don't want to bother ordering cable and ends and have them be of shitty quality though.

I've been two lazy to try, but am interested in the answer. In particular if it involves RG6 cable since I ran a bunch of it in my house for that reason...

what would you start to look at then? 8" is definitely the largest i can fit and even that will take some work.

I think M5 is saying find a differen't less expencive driver to handle the mb. I was going to go 3 way with a 10" in my door and mid and tweet in the kick, but it's begining to look like there is much much less room in the door than I thought before.

How deep? Personally I'd take the SLS over the Seas for MB only duties.

I am dragging bad today. :(

Really would love to get back in bed. :(

I'm all fired up. My moms life insurance folks sent out a flat denial after they offered me 50% of it. I read the denial and they said because she had alchohol in her blood at the time of autopsy that it was "forseable" one might drown, as she was above the "legal limit in MN".

I emailed back asking what the legal limit for taking a bath there was, and also sited a few medical papers that show BAC post death means next to nothing in regards to at the time of. Not to mention she was only in the bath as the heat went out. Currently the full amount of life insurance is more than I make a year, and I don't pay taxes on it.

Well that vet trip definitely pissed the dog off...she won't even look at us :lol2:

Course I'd be pissed off too if they did to me what they did to her so

My reading for today...

Net result - big antenna going on the van. Real big. The 9-foot whip isn't tuning worth a crap below 7MHz.

I thought I'd be able to tune 160 meters through 6 on one antenna, but it's not looking like that's possible...might have to do 160-40 on one and 20-6 on the other, would remove the pesky problem of the tuner going apeshit on 6 meters because 9 feet is near a halfwave...

Antenna physics just suck. No doubt.

Might be in the market for a new battery as well, I don't think the Yellow Top is holding a charge like it once did...time to modify the battery tray methinks.
