AC-DC back in black loaded up, using a digital coaxial connection now. Sounds good.

I hate work, they are gonna try to fire me over something that happened months ago. No-one got hurt and it was a common-sense judgment call for god sakes.\

Jeep has broken the 2k mile mark.

Yeah, GM will NOT do a recall unless people are dying. They won't let you know about anything either until you finally take your car to the dealership. Luckily, I have some friends who are GM techs, so I get the DL beforehand.

From what I have seen, Nissan will not do recalls at all, they will just fix it the next time you come into the dealer.

found the rs 52s for cheap,

now i have to buy crossover parts....and the tweets

They also don't ever really fix recalls either, just install the same faulty part & call it good.

Dealership is going to have fun next Friday going through the six or seven pages of TSBs issued for my 300C. I'll make good use of my warranty thank you very much, nevermind the fact that perhaps it should have just been built properly right from the factory. Of course not, that is too much to ask for.

Same thing applies to our third gym ... it is a triple court gym, two hardwood and one rubber floor with massive fold out bleachers on both ends. The facility has been open for two years and the rubber floor has been torn up and replaced both years. Every time they roll the bleachers out it somehow bubbles. It is a poured rubber floor that is allowed to set two weeks longer than the manufactuer recommends. How it bubbles is beyond me. God forbid the company does a little R&D to fix the problem - it is under warranty so it costs them a ton of money to replace it. Not my problem, I will more than welcome a new floor every year.

rubber floors = teh suck. wood is so much greater. tell them to just put in wood. It's better for joints anyways so I don't know why you'd even want a rubber floor.

man I'm so happy it's friday. Now I get to play video games and watch porn the rest of the night! and go fishing in the morning.

My gf brought over a turkey tenderloin last night and we baked it and......omg it was quite possibly the best thing ever. Maybe it was a combination of the extra lime juice and seasonings it had been marinating in since the time it was put into the package and me pulling it out of the oven at just the right time, but it was so tender. Soooo tender and juicy. It was white meat and I normally don't like that because it's more dry than dark, but this was so juicy and full of flavor. Luckily I still have half of it left in my fridge for tonight! It was like sex in my mouth.

Thanks for the help on the lights guys. :)

I finally got the damn problem fixed, a cheap ass POS chinese made ring terminal on a ground broke... It was broke, yet it was still in the right spot so it was dumb luck that I found it. :)

wow the hop is slow tonight.

Sound-deadening for my home audio project would be ~1600 dollars if I use someone else's system. I might order a smaller section from the company and make my own sound-deadening system for the room. It's a long way off though.

With all the mechanical eng./physics people on here, maybe I can get some ideas :)

I'm thinking about building a new plinth & base for the VPI turntable. Currently, it has an outer base to which the motor is bolted to, and there are four Sorbothane pucks (about an inch thick) that the plinth sits on. The idea is that the mounting pucks are the only thing separating the plinth/platter assembly and the motor. I'm wondering if this can be improved upon with a little ingenuity.

Currently, the plinth is nothing but 3/4" MDF, I'm wondering if when I build a new one, if sandwiching pieces and adding mass will help.

any idea what the frequencies of interest are you want to isolate?

You are absolutely right except that our rubber floor has a better underlay than the wood floors - it actually is really nice to use (even with my old knees), surprisingly! To be honest I was really skeptical with the idea to begin with but we absolutely needed a rubber floor for indoor throwing training during the winter months.

maybe yours is a different type rubber floor than the one they built in a rec center in my hometown. That rubber floor is like concrete. No give at all and balls bounce a little differently. But I guess if you're doing indoor throwing it might be a better solution.

time to go fishin'! Hope I catch something. It's been raining all week so the water probably isn't very clear and fish may not be biting much. But we'll try.

Orbit Mint Mojito is the shiz bomb dang doodly

Exxon Mobil is selling its gas stations because of financial troubles

try reading that three times without your eyes crossing

well I didn't catch any fish. :( Guess I just have to go make my blueberry pancakes now.
