Gas. Induction is cool, but gas, well. I'm used to it, I can use any type of cookware... etc. Induction costs more usualy too doesn't it?

I like the idea of a 6 burner, but it might be overkill. durable. Cleanable. Never glass or ceramic. EVAR.

I disagree with your glass or ceramic comment; however, only in the world of induction. Considering it never gets hot it is easier to clean.

As for pricing, a real gas range is more than most induction ranges. As for the cookware, the only thing you are limited to not using is copper and of course aluminum which I don't call cookware anyways. I do realize that 304 stainless also won't work, but have never seen a pan that was made from stainless that pure.

I am of the opinion that there isn't a single gas range at Home Depot that you can actually cook on. Definitely not an R8, which would be by far my selection out of the four if it were in there.

I find it hard to find good fiction to read...or maybe it's because I don't really sit down and finish a book like that chronologically all that often. I have a dozen or so that I really like but I should expand that...

I just grew up on Gas. I thought all stainless had an issue with induction. TY for the tip. I have always used gas I guess and love it. That and big heavy la creuset cookware.
