Forgot to mention that I want to use a water system to keep it simple. I had a buddy just call me and was talking about a solar powered sprinkler system, so I made up something based off that. It is a system that pumps water from an underground resovoir and then distributes it to 4 sprinkler heads spaced 10ft apart.

I am trying to figure out if (for simplicity sake) I could substitute the sprinkler head for a valve that is a certain amount open. I would like to keep this as realistic as possible so it would be cool if I could calculate a sprinker that propell water 5 ft. on either side of it and setup my Flowrate and pump accordingly.

Once again, completely different when I am helping answer a question or finding a solution that has already be answered here, compared to just plain telling people to go to another site. In addition, I am not going to copy and paste information that people other then myself have posted, so a link would be posted regardless to cite the source.

One is clearly beneficial and supports the topic on the original forum, the other is not. We can keep going in circles on this, but the difference is very clear.

While I agree there is a difference, it's not great enough to warrant the deletion of one kind and not the other.

Why's it a big deal if someone else recommends another site though? If you were truly confident in the quality of this site, you'd have no worries.

Nothing was deleted, only one post was moved to a place where it could be discussed. I have no worries on the quality of the site, that is and has never been in question, what was is the intent of a user to purposely try to make members leave with them. In addition, there is no issue with suggesting another site when the other site has information needed that is not supplied on the current forum, or has features not available, etc.

Deleted and moved to a "Topics under review" section are basically the same thing. Both remove the post from the public's eye.

Who said anyone was trying to make people leave this site? It's not as though a person can't be members of two forums. And other places can offer things that SSA currently does not.

The intent was clear, and the last sentence of my prior post answers your last two sentences quite well.

So you say "there is no issue with suggesting another site when the other site has information needed that is not supplied on the current forum, or has features not available, etc." answers "It's not as though a person can't be members of two forums. And other places can offer things that SSA currently does not." So why delete the post?

And the intent was not clear that he was telling people to leave here, that was an (incorrect) assumption on your part.

Again, the post was only moved and can always be moved back, and it was not in reference to something SSA does not offer. So yes it answers the questions, as I said; there is no issue ^^^

And with recent mentality, prior threatening to leave, leaving for a while, only to return with a poor attitude, the intent was very clear (which was further backed up by facebook messages, and the childish reaction afterwards to the moved post). Which still leaves my action to move the post correct.

I am officially running my first active setup! Chunked the crossovers for the DLS' last night. Only thing I didn't really care for is that I really have no clue what the exact frequency I'm crossing over at is. But I hooked up one side and fiddled with it until I liked it, then faded it over to the non-amped, non active side so compare the blend between the tweet and mid. and mmmm mmm I love have me some midbass again

it's all those stogies.

stick to the greenery.

I have to design a "complicated" pipe system for my fluid dynamics class. I want to use something that I see in everyday life instead of making something up, but I feel friggen lost. Anyone got any ideas?

It has to include pump, valves, reservoirs, pipes of different diameters (series or paralell) etc...

you could make an aeroponic system and grow tomatoes inside!

Tomatoes are one of the reason I hate winter. Good tomatoes are the ones which grow outside. The ones from greenhouses are tasteless.

At least that's the way it goes here.

I really want to buy a new gun but can't decide WTF I want.

right now i'm really wanting about 4 different purposes

1. I want a lever action gun. No real rhyme or reason here, i've just never owned one so I want to try one out, not sure on caliber. My head says go .22 so i can plink for cheap, but I already have .22 pistols. My gut says go with the .357mag as it'd be way more fun although more expensive (it'll feed .38 just fine). No long range accuracy but I rarely shoot over 50yards at the range, and this would definitely be a purely range gun.

2. I want a .17HMR damn it. Been wanting one of these for a while. Contemplated getting the golden boy in .17 and solving #1 and 2 at the same time, but not sure if i can put a scope on the golden boy.

3. I want a long distance gun. Something 200-400 yards probably. This wouldn't be shot much and would be in the distant future so i can afford the proper optics.

4. Want an assault rifle. Was debating an AK but they seem to be way overpriced now and I may as well spend a little more and get an AR. But even the ARs are impossible to find right now, so this will be put on the back burner.

oddly enough not looking for a pistol right now for the first time ever, unless i find a unica.

it's the exact same here but it's hard to find good tomatoes. I love tomatoes but refuse to eat just about any that don't come from a garden.
