Your incapability to manage the basic language of English is not acceptable. Please go back and review the second grade as remedial spelling is obviously well beyond you.

the govt runs out of money so they are going to take it from people commuting to/from jobs......

anarchy!

If you don't speed you won't have a problem. Not to mention it's in school and work zones, which are the two places you'd want to not speed anyways.

how on earth do you get that?

57 vs 55, what is their reasoning for giving a ticket for that?

i thought cops were supposed to protect and serve. who the fuck is getting hurt with a 2mph over? nobody, but the govt sees a way to make $$$$$, pigs don't protect shit anymore, they just push us further into the totalitarian govt that this will soon become, all because people are AFRAID. and yes i realize just how ironic this rant is with my avatar.

further more, 2mph is just over 3% over the speed limit. How accurate do you really think their radars and cars speedometers are? And keep in mind all those rating they give for radars are under the BEST of conditions. I'm not sure what kind of methods they'll be using for ticketing but +3% is stupid. As a pharmacist i can fuck up your treatment by 10% and you can't sue my ass, why on earth is speeding more tightly controlled?

about the protecting part... speed cameras are the complete opposite of that. they're actually kind of dangerous. traffic is flowing along nicely and then a camera comes up and everyone has to slam on their brakes. just this Saturday I saw a truck flipped on the side of the highway right next to the cameras (actually took one out, lol). I can make a pretty good guess what caused that accident.... and what about a tire blowing out and you need to get over to the shoulder immediately? oh wait, there's a 8" diameter steel pole right there....

Exactly how it is in Europe. They sell camera warning detectors that warn you when they are upcoming too. Taxation without using brains is what that is.

Those are fricking expensive. In every area where there are cameras there are indicators to show that. Haven't seen any crashes yet because of the cameras.

KU, I feel a lot like you in that we should listen and abide the laws. Especialy ones that really don't effect us. Better to choose your battles. I'm not here to punch holes in what you feel, just maybe explain them differently.

I do think that Matt(Vlad is Matt right) is more in tune with what we should stand for and how I feel. Laws made to grow government and their power are wrong. Period. I think that is the end of the discussion. IMO federal/state should only be there to protect us in the grand sence via military. They should protect the stupid from being stupid to themselves. It's retarded and absurd to have DOT workers on roads that have traffic. End of story. I have done that job. It's stupid. Bandaids for broken legs will never work. It's a lot like spending money to advertise to people to be carefull of leaving on electric appliances. The juice it took to run one comercial is > if do not unplug my cell phone charger while not charging the phone. Self defeating laws, and that kind of thinking is much worse. On the surface people talk about how it will protect children and workers from cars. A car at 10 MPH will kill pretty easily. Heck I saw someone loose all the muscle on his leg from blunt force trauma from a tactor going less than 5 mph that barely bumped the guy. What laws like that are made for is a seperate agenda such as raising local money for LE and other things, and also maybe, because a local senator has a house there and he want's it quieter in his innercity lot when having guests over. It's a hell of a lot cheeper than putting up unsightly sound barier right?

Radar is much less than 3% accurate too. I don't know if these "cameras" work on a different tech, but I doubt without a SERIOUS investment that any equipment left out in the elements would stay reliable.

Pixorz from this weekend :

This car placed 6th or 7th place at the European finals. P9, Brax front stage, Genesis amps, Hertz Mille 18 sub. Awesome sub-bass. Midbass had some resonances. Mids weren't so awesome. The tweeters on the other hand were very nice.

Friend's car. D100+H701, Scan D2904, L4, 10's in the doors, Audison amps (4 channel Thesis on the mids / tweeters), JL 12w7. Mids / tweeters are awesome. Midbass isn't as good as it should be but the 10's stay for now. 12w7 was pretty impressive. Better than the 13w7 and a bit under the 13w6v2 as far as quality goes.

Pretty sure Sean was referring to the other guy...

I sure hope so. I try my hardest not to type like I am bashing my head against the key board.

I believe the highway cameras (and red light cameras) use magnetic sensors under the asphalt

the vans probably still use radar though

B.H. TRUST me when I say this, you and your girlfriend are more than welcome here. Intelligent posts and thoughts are always welcome.

As for the HID's I was hoping for a more of a simple question....LOL

I would look for HID review sites, they USUALLY are pretty good. Sean really is the car guru so if he says its crap, you can bet your bottom dollar on that.

solid choice, I can think of someone else who needs a vacation as well

Good catch Sean. Those are the same types that email wanting sponsorship (not asking mind you because they think they deserve it), then get pissed at me for not giving them free equipment with no experience or background on their part, let alone the fact we don't do it regardless.

people at TxDOT called and said my choice of vanity plates were offensive...kiss my ass lady...guess I'll have to settle for second best...

I hate Dbags who feel entitled.

I'm so damn thankfull for the people in this thread. No while I have probably spent more money on toys due to these people I have made much more informed choices, and been much happier with what I have spent my money on. I haven't paid for one nickle of information from this place. People volunteer the info here. It's disgusting how people take for granted real honest help, and somehow feel it's owed to them.

looks like the new Grand Cherokee is going to use a Mercedes platform...interesting...

Let me guess, they are using the 2gen old e-class chassis that is under the Charger etc.?
