The dog was right. The patched amp works !

DOGGY!!!!1!

Great nose to find burnt components. :)

Fuck it, I'm chopping the box.

This is how it sits now :

IMG_5787.jpg

3 inch risers to clear the amp in the left.

Chopping so it will not need the risers. Going to drop the box volume with abour 2 cubes, and hopefully my tuning will also go up a bit. Car peaked at 50hz with the sealed 10. And it won't budge past 46hz with this current box. Jacob's Jeep also peaks at 50. snoopdan's also peakes at 50.

You may be losing some output because of the risers. And more voltage!

Ahhh, got a little bit of a hangover, The first few hours of the day are going to suck....

Our house is a construction zone currently. Landlord is knocking out a wall by the basement stairs and putting a railing there instead. The construction part doesn't bother me, its the fact the landlord only asked one of the roommates if they would like to help and get paid for it. If you were to rank us in who could do it the best, he would probably be down at the bottom. I nor the other 2 roommates never had a thing mentioned to us about it.

trying to get my parent to get a new puppy!

since our dog of 17years 2months passed away last month.

oh and mike you should work on your parents too since you will be here this summer to teach it the ropes

Here are a couple of pictures of a shelf that I welded up the other day at work, this damn thing is seriously stout, 3"x3" 3/16 wall tubing, 1/2" expansion anchors into the wall, then it is getting tied back to the wall with 5/16 grade 60 chain in two spots. This thing will pull the wall down if it comes off. We got it bolted up (no chain) though yesterday at work, one of the guys I work with was bouncing on the edge (2' out from the wall) and it didn't budge.

We overbuilt the utter crap out of it...

There is only going to be about 500lbs on the shelf, but the professor originally wanted 4"x3" tubing but talked him down to 3x3, I wanted 2x2. This is going above where people are going to be walking/working so we wanted to make damn sure it won't come down.

Check out Terry's (The Scraper) boxes on Termpro. I have competed against him a few times, and took 2nd to him every time. Very small boxes, driver forward, single aeroport rearward with the port flare very close to the back lid, also loads of resin to harden the box like crazy.

Just started looking on termpro for some info (haven't checked Terry's projects yet) and it seems crx style is picky on box size / shape. Definately going to try a diffrent box this summer.

And more voltage!

I always had problems with the batteries :(

Very serious work in that shelf :D

If you were looking for a truck around $7000 +/- what would you look for? I had it at a Tacoma or a Ranger, but the T100 popped up local here.

Truck truck? Or are you open to other styles of vehicles?

Really looking for a truck. Might consider a smaller SUV though. I want something that I can lift a little bit, throw some bigger tires on, and be able to go where ever (within reason) in the woods I want to. I love the 'bird, but I need something more useful and practical right now.

So you want to be able to go anywhere in the woods, but do you want to be able to take a road trip in it?

My longest road trips are going to be 200 miles, maybe. As for the general idea, you've got it. I don't plan on doing SERIOUS off roading. (At the moment..)

I say just add beefy tires (BF Goodrich's All-Terrain T/A & Mud-Terrain T/A, Hankook's Dynapro ATM RF10 & Dynapro MT RT03, Mickey Thompson's Baja ATZ & Baja MTZ, Nitto's Terra Grappler, Pro Comp's All Terrain, Mud Terrain, Xtreme All Terrain, & Xtreme Mud Terrain; Toyo's Open Country A/T & Open Country M/T, et al) and a rear locker/limited slip to whatever 4WD pickup or SUV you like and you'll be sitting pretty.

1996-Present Toyota Tacomas with the TRD package, 2005-Present Nissan Frontiers with the NISMO/PRO-4X package, 2005-Present Nissan Xterras with the Off Road Package, and several other models come from the factory with either a locker or limited slip in the rear if you don't want to mess with the axle.
