what is the optimal tuning frequency for the icons? where do they perform best?

i know the range is 27-33hz but where in that range would it be best to tune them at.

I am not sure if you just answered your own question. But what are your goals?

for a daily driver I find that the 12" sound really good tuned in the 32-33hz range....

the output is really good..low end extension is very decent and they still pick

up the KICK of the higher drum frequencies

with the tuning down in the 30hz range they like a very low X-Over setting and the upper

kick drums are not as punchy

I would also stay with in the 1.80 to 2.0cf3 plus displacements

i know, in a way, that i did answer my own question but i was wondering where within that range should the box be tuned to for daily use.

it's all up to you in the end. I personally like 31-32hz range. Either way, you can't go wrong. Enjoy those subs!
