The SPL mofo like series sub is not bad for the money. I have heard them and tested them before. However, they soon fall apart. But there has been hardly anything stronger in sound quality then my nightshades. The only sub stronger in sound quality were my critical mass subs. That is saying alot, especially comparing it to a $2000 sub!!!

I already know mine will sound better, he doesn't even think he is going to need to upgrade his (stock) speakers. Thanks though, I guess we will get the quality he paid for.

Well we compared our subs today, his 15"s are pretty hefty. He has almost no excursion capabilities due to his small spider, and I was very unimpressed with the built quality. As far as I'm concerned he bought a 15" paperweight.

Ray, how come you never told me you got those Critical Mass UL 12s?... wait a minute. That stuff about the ProBox grilles is funny my stomach muscles hurt. If you guys actually do go at it on the mic or street beat... Kick his ass Sea Bass!!!

I hate ignorant people like that guy whoever he is. They are just dumb, and even if they beat you it is out of pure luck. Something that's always fun... If you have your setup built to dig deep and he has a probox or some other box tuned near 40... pull out a 25 hz tone and tell him to play it then see what happens

He might have strength in pure SPL, but beat him where you have the advantage.

I swear my SS 6.5" mids have a more excursion, it could get movin' though. But with a Qts. of 0.31 it should sound like complete ass

Xmax doesn't really mean squat on its own but SPL sucks either way.

Well I ordered one of my two Deka Intimidators last night, so whenever I can order another one I'll be good, except for the box. I've been trying to get this box just perfect for over a month now and it is kicking my butt. I might just have BJ or Trevor built it for me.

Xmax doesn't really mean squat on its own but SPL sucks either way.

True, but his driver is very misleading. The surround in it as wider, and also a high roll, but xmax is very limited by the spider. Another friend of mine was talking it up because it has a bigger surround than the 'shade.

So according to the people around here:

Large surrounds are louder than small

I need to finish my front stage, my tweeter sails are still not done, damn cold weather. If it warms up somewhat I will finish the sails and assemble my back seat and finally mount my SAX-100.4. I got some glass matte and bodyfiller to finish up the last little bit.

The "friend" is getting a Power Acoustik BAMF5500D
