Posted March 2, 200520 yr I have 550-600 RMS to deliver to one of the two subs lsted in the title (RL-p or RL-i). Will the RL-i be over powered at this? I would prefer to get the RL-i. Let the opinions begin...
March 2, 200520 yr no, u won't be overpowering the rl-i with 600wrms if u have the correct enclosure.for the money, i'd go ahead and get the rl-p...even more headroom there if needed...but i honestly don't think u can go wrong with either...i'd say ur pocketbook determines the winner.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
March 2, 200520 yr i agree with mrray if u ever wanted to buy a bigger amp u dont have to go get another sub to handle it
March 3, 200520 yr Author What is the "correct enclosure"? Also, I checked out the response curve on this and was surprised that it drops off so quickly. How is the bass output from 20 - 40 hz?
March 4, 200520 yr well...rl-isealed..about .5ft^3ported...about .75ft^3with 600wrms...and the bass response is awesome..lol...mike has a video on here somewhere with sound..u need to check it out! the rl-i's get sinister low!wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
