To make a point in line with the original posting question, 2 x SAZ-3000D will yield anywhere from 1000-2000 more watts at any given voltage than 2 x BXI2607's or whatever the model is of the 2600 watt HiFonics amps you were asking about so, yeah, you made the right choice.

You will need to double your box with another layer of material. The BTL's will literally push the box apart and if you don't use good screws or bolts to secure the subwoofer to the baffle it will break the heads off the mounting screws....
