Ok, so I have a Rockford Fosgate T1 15" hooked up to 550 watts of alpine power. I was wondering how a Fi bl 15" would compare? Any thoughts?

I would obviously get a new amp for the Fi.

For quality and customize-ability, I would vote for the BL.

in the right enclosure, good electrical, good CLEAN power i say the bl would out perform the T1 in most ways if not everyway.

ive heard bl's a couple times in person and they out perform most "main-stream" subs i have heard.

Are you looking for overall loudness? Or just a general comparison between the two?

Well both, I was somewhat un-impressed with the Fosgate. I am looking to really FEEL the bass, I am gonna try to sell my amp, sub, enclosure and capacitor in hopes of having enough money to buy 1 15" or even 18" if I have the money.

* To really FEEL the bass should I be looking at the "BTL" or "BL"

* This question seems obvious but 15" or 18"

umm...you will really feel the bass either way you go. both subs are beasts if you have them setup right. the btl can handle a bit more power and if thats what your looking for than thats what you should get. its a straight spl beast.

but if you dont want to spend the money on the btl, the bl will satisfy you just as well....like i said and most others will say too all in the right setup.

I completely disagree. 550 watts will get both woofers "bumpin." The BTL will be louder due to the efficiency being higher. You will be satisfied with either I think. I think the BL is more of what you're looking for. I would get the fully loaded BL and look into the Sundown amplifiers. (SAE1200D would be a good match.) The bigger you go with the woofer, the chances are it will be louder.
