Can any one compare the sound quality of the BL to another sub? I know the Icon haas better SQ but I want the output so thats why I chose the BL. What about to the Pioneer subs?

Can you define 'sound quality' for me? I just want to make sure I'm answering the right question.

The FI BL and Q are rated at same power. The BL is more on the SPL side but is often used for a daily driver and still has good sound Quality where as the Q is the all alround SQ based sub. Why not just go for the Q?

Because he stated the reason he didn't pick the Icon is because of the "LACK" of output.

The Q and Icon still get loud. I think a lot of people think that they are quite because of the "SQ" badge. You still want a BL though.

Because he is NOT a Q buyer.

I was trying to describe to a friend back home how my BL sounds by comparing them to something he would know. I would describe it as how crisp and clean it hits when the bass kicks in. Ryan J what would you describe it as?

& the BL sq wise is good for me. The lows are fine to me. i can deal with 1 note not being as loud in 1 out of every 10 songs i listen to. I learned what the REAL lows are by listening to a classical cd on my BLS... now i know what they are talking about when they say the BL lacks lows. Its not rap lows.

none of the above.

XCON!!!

Lol I would but I dont have the power nor the electrical to go that route. I def have given it a thought. Its just too much of a hassle to go through all of that when I love my BLs already.

FYI i'm using eD avatar because i'm running eD chitty subs for now.

In the near future i'm debating between using SSA Xcon or Fi BL 09model.

I just want to get the most bang /SQ for the money. btw when i was using Hifonics i find that the xx Collosus

kicked ass, i would'nt reccomend a brutus nor zeus series, peace of crap IMO.

If you're looking for a mainstream comparison, I don't have one. I have yet to hear anything that would keep up with my Q, let alone a BL. The closest I heard was a Boston SPG555, which sounded nice and got loud. I think my Q edged it out though.

What is there to prove, that is exactly what Fi markets and build them as. :ehh:

If i were you i wouldn't get pioneer subwoofers. sure they have decent subwoofers, but that is not what they specialize in. i would stay towards brands that specialize in subwoofers rather than home audio and all that. I would recommend the Fi Q 12" subwoofer to you. It isn't quite as loud as the BL, but its sound quality is much much better. It hits the low frequency notes better than any other subwoofer i've ever heard, including the SSA Icon.

And you know JACK SHIT. "Specializing" has nothing to do with anything.

Please describe the EXACT enclosures that you used to compare the Q and the Icon.
