well might be makin a trade for a 15" d1 nightshade. i currently have a 15" hdc3 in a 4.7 cube box @ 38 hz using 3 4" aeros. just wanted to see how it would perform in this size of a box? dont have the time and money at the moment to built a new one. but will be when i get some extra time and money.

oh and using an aq 2200d for power

ya 38hz sounds a bit high considering that the ns15 wants like 34-35hz! as for the big being huge lol give it a try see what happens jsut maybe try to change your tuning since they are aero ports all you have to do is like shorten them!

and for your next box consider a 1-6inch round or a slot port!!

4.7 cubes is wayy too big. Jacob recommends about 3 cubes. I'm running mine in 4 cubes which is doing just fine, but is probably too big.

if you watch the excursion and set your ssf, you will probably be fine. but if you have to keep the same box for now, them you might just want to leave the HDC3 in there until you can build the right box for the ns.

Tony, you have any free time anytime soon? I have a dual 15 box that we could simply modify to a single 15 box and then throw your aeros into this box. The sub would be in more like 2.7 cubes instead of being in a box as big as yours, or we could even make it a little larger that that if you want. Call me and let me know if you want to do it and we'll give it a try. I should have enough extra wood to do what we need to do.

just run less power.. but 3 cubes seems to be the sweet spot for this sub,.

right now my boy has 2 ns15's in 9 cubes after port and sub displacement with 121 square inch port tuned to 32hz and it ripped a whole in the shops ceiling...the lows are fuc.kin re-dam-diculous....with just 2 1500d's its easily louder than his escalade with 2 solox 18's in a semi wall with 2 kicker 2500....

my suggestion...keep the box just make the port 50-60square inches and tuned it anywhere between 32-35hz and u will shit urself

You can't put a 90 degree turn on aeroports, just like slot ports. Therefore depth of the box shouldn't be an issue.

i can get between 33-34 hz and keep the recommended 4" from the back wall. thats low enough of a tunin for me
