The pro's and con's are inline with advantages and disadvantages of going sealed over ported (in theory >> higher potential power handling, flatter response, greater excursion, lower output, less efficient etc.) With the Xcon being a low distortion design, and having high excursion capabilities, it can really excel in sealed.

Its hard to exsplain how amazing these xcons sound in a sealed box off a sundown 3000 its just unreal and words connot explain how they sounds. Even tho ported is louder to the ear i cant really seem to find a difference i did a 142 in the meter with 2 xcons sealed and that was it an air leak in the box around the subs and not full crank. more people should try out an xcon in a sealed box.

I noticed a slapping sound recently and looked at it over the weekend and the MDF is splitting right on the bend of the kerf of the port. Looks like I have a project for next weekend. Going to seal up the 15's and see if I like em.
