August 2, 200916 yr Author Well plans got kinda messed up today.Got the emblems and old dry rotted graphics off the side of the car.Started wet sanding the back of the car.All of the pics are before pics I won't have progress pics up until tomorrow I had to go to work at 8 and I didn't have time to take them. But it does look tons better without the yellow "pinstripe" down the side and the stupid graphics
August 2, 200916 yr Author The truck is my friends 2000 nissan frontier on airbags and 20's with shaved suicide doors, its very sick. And the '55 chevy is my other friends they have had it in the family forever.I will have pics up soon.

I have the same one as you and want to upgrade to the new JVC with the blank screen when off and touch screen when on but I just dont want to get rid of this deck.
August 4, 200916 yr Good luck on the body work, personally I'm not a big fan of it but hopefully it turns out well for you.

August 5, 200916 yr Author I picked up a adhesive promoter today that you just spray on before painting. What about the flex additive? That's so the paint doesn't crack on the plastic right?
August 5, 200916 yr Another tip, if you are removing any panels to paint off the car, make sure you paint them as they lie on the car. For instance, if you remove the hood, paint it in the flat position. If you remove the fenders, make something to hold them as they would sit on the car.
August 5, 200916 yr Author Tint with the new wheels and paint would finish it off nicely.Ah the anticipation is killing me!It should look clean though, that's what I'm aiming for.IT RAINED ALL DAY YESTERDAY AND TODAYWTF
August 25, 200916 yr Author FINALLY!Sorry for not updating the thread guys, me and my friend have been a bit busy lately with school and work.It has been sanded mostly, except for the right side.I had to buy adhesion promoter and flex additive for the bumpers.Sunday we got bondo over all the dents went over the old emblem indention with bondo to give the back a custom look with no emblems or anything. The other side is getting sanded as I speak, I WILL have progress pics up tonight. If everything goes as planned it will be ready to spray saturday.
