Posted August 2, 200916 yr I've just opened up the tummy of my amp and discovered that one of the coils or inductors are touching one of the fuse legs, is that anything to worry about?and uhhh hope i havnt just got rid of my warranty?? ehh.....prob doesnt matter anyway because it will be over a years time from purchase that i may actually use it lol...I'll post a pic in a sec!!
August 2, 200916 yr Pictures are kinda blurry, can't really see what you're talking about.I'd say if it plays fine, there's nothing to worry about.
August 2, 200916 yr Author i'm sure he's talkin about this- and prob the one to the left of it as well- yep thats it, only the one you circled was making contact, the other was like 3mm off....I've bent the leg away to the right, just enough for no contact (the leg that you cirlced) and so it should be ok..But do you reckon if i didn't happen to be curious, open it and notice, that it would of blown up or something? it is - / + of a fuse which is pretty major and will have current going through it....and so if another component with current going through it is making contact with a fuse that i assume is pretty bad and would cause the whole lot to short and / or blow up somewhatBut as i said I've sorta fixed it so its ok "NOW" !! August 2, 200916 yr if you haven't done so already you should contact jacob about this and or send him the pics of what you did!
August 2, 200916 yr They all get tested before going out so it obviously won't blow up instantly or would have when it was tested. The filters are also insulated with enamel.

August 5, 200916 yr On the bottom of the board, where the circuit board traces are, those fuses are connected to those coils anyway. So no, no harm. Those coils are to help reduce radio frequency (RF) noise as current is flowing in/out of the amp.
