January 2, 201015 yr Author Yep, i'll have some in the next day, didn't put any pics of me glassing them but i'll throw up some after i sand all the body filler and make them all smooth!.
January 3, 201015 yr Author There are aprox 3 coats of body filler, all hand sanded. i think they turned out great what do you guys think?
January 3, 201015 yr These are turning out really nice. A little elbow grease goes a long way. Hand sanding? You are a brave dude. Are you planning to paint or vinyl these? Just wondering with all the bondo.
January 3, 201015 yr Everybody has been glassing lately, got me wanting to do some glassing of my own.
January 3, 201015 yr Author I'm not quite sure how i'd wrap these in vinyl never done it before. i may just use some gray automotive carpeting and see what happens.
January 3, 201015 yr If you did all that work, it wouldnt make any sense to cover that in carpeting. Just my .02
January 3, 201015 yr Author Yeah, i wasnt quite sure what to paint it with. if theres a spray paint out there.
January 3, 201015 yr Yeah, i wasnt quite sure what to paint it with. if theres a spray paint out there.I've always been a fan of flat black, that's how I did mine.
January 3, 201015 yr Author i was thinking a base coat of flat black then a glossy white or something glossy
January 3, 201015 yr Author Everybody has been glassing lately, got me wanting to do some glassing of my own. It's actually pretty cheap. 7 pounds of body filler= 20 bucks a lot of resin = 35~ and mat is like 6 dollars here.

January 3, 201015 yr Author Oh yeah resin takes FOREVER to set up if it's cold. The body filler not so much it cures quite quickly when exposed to lots of light it'll stiffen up within 2-3 minutes and be hard after 5-6 minutes. The sail panel resin took about 12 hours to cure to the point it was hard. I'll look into carpet and vinyl
January 6, 201015 yr that looks pretty good. I want to get into doing some glassing as well. A 3 way. 8inch mid, 6.5 midrange, and 1 inch tweeter. All glassed in my lower door pod. Would be SICK!Thx for giving me some hope that I can maybe pull it off someday haha.
January 12, 201015 yr Author finally got my 260 amp alt in, took over 5 hours to get in, was a total bitch. voltage sitting at 14.8
