Went to get my brand new SAZ 1500D installed today but when they hooked it up it wouldn't work. The amp turns on and gets hot but won't play. They took it out and put in a jl amp and it played great. They also hooked the amp up to some machine (forgot the name) to see if it would work and nothing is there anything I can do or do I have to send it back? Oh and I'm running 1 12" fi bl in a 2 cuft box tuned to 35.5 hz with 0 guage wiring

Where did you buy it from?

if it's new and has warranty Sundown will take care of you.

Contacting Jacob or db-r.com is the first thing you should do if a brand new amp is not working.

this might sound stupid but did you check the fuses on the amp to see if they are OK?

soo the amp turns on and overheats then goes into protect?.....if u connect a sub does it have any output?

You got a shop to install it for you. I just have a gut feeling they set it up to fail lol, to maybe push JL. Just my .02 that comes from no facts lol.

Does the amp "Protect" light come on? Make sure your installer didn't have the + - reversed

bummer! guess the car audio demon was at work today, mdizzle's sub took a cr*p today. those folks at sundown will take care of you, hang in there.

check to make sure that the speaker leads were hooked up properly i know it worked when it left here (not saying something couldn't have happened in shipping ). also did you check fuses as stated above ? does it go into protect? what is your remote voltage? is the power light on?

Check the Br inputs and outputs, i had a problem with my 3000d where the sub would cut in and out at random...didnt matter what volume it was at. is this what is going on with urs?????

I'm gonna take a wild guess that this place is a JL dealer and they want you to buy a JL amp.

This is your second amp right? I thought I remember a thread with your amp shutting off after a half hour. Same thing again? Talk to Jacob dude.

i sent mine back in for repair..Db-r fixed the RCA capacitors/mosfits......works like a charm now....i no u got it from Sundown but maybe try Chris at Db-r because i talked to him personally and he pretty much guided me through where the amps problem was and how to fix it.

Learn how to install and trouble shoot it yourself..that's what the forum is for. It's very easy to do if you just take a little time to learn. I would never trust a shop installing something that I didn't buy from them..but that may just be me.
