Was wondering could this amp handle the load? It is a current MD2D by the way with the plexi bottom and stuff.

No need to risk it for daily usage. Just match the amp's stability.

yes!! i ran my md1d all day at .5 never changed it the amp love dit barley got hot. i was using stock battery and stock alt. it will work perfectly fine at .5 ohms!!

I've heard that it can be run at .5ohms daily but if I were in your shoes I'd be pretty cautious.

I've got the older MD3D (with all the terminals on the bottom) running at 2ohms to a 12" Type X and I love it. I'll never get another sub amp again.

If you used right then yes it can work the question is for how long (most amps when ran under ohm load stability it usually hurts the amp over time.

my friend decided to do the right thing and order the right subs that could be ran at 1 ohm hehe. But it is still good to know for future reference hehe.
