Peak power is bullstuff* that crappy companies came up with to make their woofers sound better. Burp power is different.

Which are you looking for?

When it blows...that was its peak.

We don't rate them on peak power..as that is just a marketing ploy...which is sort of like giving a 7 year old a can of gas and a pack of matches and telling them to not set anything on fire.

on a side note to the OP just scroll around the forum, there are unfortunately countless threads on BTL power-handling, try looking around first, there are more than just one page on each section.

Hi

Peak is a sales scheme you see in store, but to figure out its true power handling only go off the RMS rating. The same goes for amps, Decks, and subs. BTW the do 2000rms, so I hope you have a nice size amp for it. '2000' watts PEAK, isnt 2000rms lol

If you are trying to compare the peak rating of the BTL to another companies "peak" then you should just look at the rms of both. Peak ratings are exaggerated and don't mean much of anything, so base all of your equipment off the rms so you can compare apples to apples.

If you are looking at a "peak" rating to compete with box building skill and your pockets will be the biggest determining factors. I've put about 5kw rms on one for music with no issues, but some people put 10,000 watts + on them for comps.

There are countless BTL power threads on this forum if you use the search function, but posting some of your goals and the reason you want to know this info may help people give you a response that will hopefully answer your question. Just beware that anything rated with just peak ratings is not worth looking into more. Best luck.
