I am not planning an 8" for this line any time soon... but I am planning 10s, 12s, and 15s... also... I do not have an ETA just yet, first prototypes are on the way then testing will be in order for a while to make sure the design suits all of my requirements.

Just though I would offer a sneak peak of the 15" model.

Initial MSRP also posted... may be subject to small changes based on tweaks needed.

I AM planning to use spring loaded push terminals on production... I don't like the spade connectors.

Some T/S Specs measured on the Klippel machine at the factory... I will measure them myself as well once my prototypes arrive.

Rms?

so now we are looking at seeing an E line, SA line, Z v2 line, NSv2 line, and possibly a SPL monster line all in 2010? not to mention the new amplifiers! good stuff Jacob!

Nice!

and does the E stand for anything like economy line? or just E as in SA'E'

Excellent excellent price range. Thats pretty much the wsweet spot for alot folks

E is basically "Entry Level" line

would this line be the SQ line, or still SPL? are they for ported or sealed? are we going to see dual voice coils on the 10"??

Any of my subs below the Nightshade sound VERY good -- and the Nightshade doesn't sound bad :)

But... to more accurately answer you question -- I am working on a new 1000-watt line that will be the "best" Sound Quality driver in the line. Sorry, no ETA yet.

Sweet price and a great looking driver!

Looks like a quite big motor for a entry level subwoofer.

That is what I would expect from Sundown, an Entry level woofer doesn't have to be 150rms with a 1" coil.

This isn't a Mainstream company that puts TINY little motors on a woofer. Jacob only makes what he feels is the best he can do for that price/power range.

I know Sundown has very good quality woofers, even for this entry level sub: those cooling channels and 400w RMS rating are more then i would expect for a entry level sub even from sundown.

They look really "clean" with the satin black finish, i also like that sundown offers 15 inch versions of the entry level sub, because most companies offer 10 or 12 inch subs as entry lvl.

Glad you guys like it so far :) It is a 6" diameter motor, very large for an entry level driver (our SA-10,12, and 15 use a full 7" motor!).

10" uses a 7" spider and the 12/15" use an 8" spider -- so they are not stripped down drivers in any way.

how about box's are these able to be used in a sealed set up?

This is lookin great Jacob. The line is expanding and Im likin it. Everything on these look to be different from what I normally see on a Sundown driver though. The baskets, magnets, terminals, etc. Is this because it is entry level?

Btw, can we get a shot of her face? Im an ass man, dont get me wrong...

I don't necessarily try to make all the lines identical or themed -- I do what works best for the range I'm shooting for. So yes, it does look alot different.

hard not to like your equipment, but i hope the baskets dont get to commercial, even though i never seen these baskets before look like it could go on a alpine or pioneer.

always loved the claw basket, the 8 spoke, audiopulse baskets ect.

It looks like the Qts of the speaker rises with each larger speaker. If that's the case, you should make an 18". I'm looking for a nice driver for open baffle use in my HT :D

That is correct - primarily from the extra mass of the heavier cone as it gets larger.

Any updates on this line? Really want to put an entry level demo system together.

theses remind me of my first set of subs ever, (2 polk 12"s) they where 400 wrms, baskets look kindof the same. i still have them and they work great. if these can out perform them i am down for a few sets to play with. cant wait for some real world testing.
