Just ordered my 15" SSD and cant wait for it to arrive. Now on to buying an amp for this little beast. It will be going into a 2008 Nissan Frontier 4.0L V6, enclosed in a 4.2cf. Ground Shaker box. My main concern is how much this sub can handle. Its the Dual 1 Ohm version along the flat wind coil option which Ive heard ups the power handling. Ive been looking around for an amp, Was looking at the Kicker zx1000.1 which puts out about 1100-1200W RMS, the MTX Xthunder X1000D, and the Alpine MRP M1000 all puting out similar rms W (1000-1200). I would like to go with the MTX for the reason that it is on sale for $269 on sonic. Ill include a product list below along with the model number to view the exact specs of all the components. Out of those I would go with the MTX as it is the only one with a variable subsonic filter.

So ive heard. Im just lost when it comes to making a box with the tuning frequences and what not.

Well like i stated above I have a 2008 Nissan Frontier. Ill the larger side of the back seat folded up. Im probably looking at 32W x 19H x 17D. Mainly looking for more of an SPL setup.

I think Ive made my decision on an amp. The AudioQue aq2200d looks pretty good. (1300RMS) at 2ohm

Are you planning on ugrading your system anytime in the future or do you just want head room? Otherwise I would get the Audioque AQ1200D since it does 870 x 1 @ 2 ohms, just my .02.
