December 22, 200915 yr If so, this would make a great match with a touch of overhead. Plus its sundown so its hard to go wrong there.SAZ1000D refurb

December 22, 200915 yr An audioque AQ1200 will work with the correct settings and will also be useful if your wanting to upgrade.

When you wire the coils in parallel it will make a 1 ohm load or if you wire them in series you will have a 4 ohm load. You can also wire the voice coils individually @ 2 ohms with a 2 channel amp and run each coil to its own channel but that is not recomended because it will most likely sound like ass.

Sundown makes great amplifiers. At this price you cannot go wrong if you don't mind buying refurbrished. To be honest it is like buying a new amp because it comes with a 1 year warranty straight from sundown and that amp is also not b stock which means it looks almost new.
December 22, 200915 yr I believe Chris modifies the amps a bit to put out more power and make them more reliable, not that they are underrated or unreliable though. In fact it's quite the opposite
December 22, 200915 yr with a budget of 250, dbr has used amps with a 1 yr wanrranty . it's the Saz 1500d

December 23, 200915 yr 1500 watts is not too much for SSD in the right enclosure. What are your goals and listening preferences?
December 23, 200915 yr Sorry dude... I just bought it... but I think the SAE-1200D is still there. Only a few bucks more and so long as you don't go crazy with the gain knob, it'll be a good match.

December 23, 200915 yr 1500 watts is not too much for SSD in the right enclosure. What are your goals and listening preferences? The 1500 is putting out close to 1800w and you wont hear a difference with that driver accept when it extends beyond its mechanical limitations. Unless you are doing a competition the 1000 or 1200 is fine. Why spend an extra hundred if it is unnecessary?
December 23, 200915 yr I never said anything about the sundown 1500d amp. I am just saying 1500 watts in general. I was going to suggest another amp but I doubt the OP would go with it anyways.

December 23, 200915 yr Don't get me wrong, if I had the money, I'd go with sundown though but I would get the SAZ.
December 23, 200915 yr Author 1500 watts is not too much for SSD in the right enclosure. What are your goals and listening preferences?my goals are for the sub to get moderately loud in my convertible soft top and i listen to alot of rap so its mostly boomy bass .
