January 15, 201015 yr Has anyone heard the dcons?I was looking to do a little setup in my girls car and i was wondering if 3 12' dcons would get loud on 1000 watt rms?I havent heard them, but almost any setup that is set right will sound superb on a 1000 watts. You dont have to a 3000 watt system to be loud and loud is subjective anyway, what is loud to you may not be to another person. But Im pretty sure your girl isnt into competitions or anything so that setup should suit her needs.

January 16, 201015 yr Has anyone heard the dcons?I was looking to do a little setup in my girls car and i was wondering if 3 12' dcons would get loud on 1000 watt rms? They are great sounding drivers that get plenty loud off very little power. 3 12" is going to be a little hard to fit in whatever car your putting them in. I would look at doing a pair of 10" or 12" and put them in the recommended ported enclosure. 1000 watts would be perfect on a pair, just be careful with your gain and other settings.
January 16, 201015 yr They are good sounding affordable drivers that get very loud in a ported enclosure. Plan on using them ported, would not recommend them sealed. 1kw on a trio should be sufficient. I had ~500w on the 12" Dcon I played with, and that single 12" output way more bass than I'd ever need.
January 16, 201015 yr 1 dcon on about 400 watts in a good ported box gets pretty loud while still retaining a pretty good sound. Sub was even in the trunk.
January 16, 201015 yr Dcons are great sounding subs... I love them and would recomend them, I have used them in installs before and they are all around great subs.
January 16, 201015 yr "A little setup" : 3 10" subs on 1000 watts !That should hit pretty hard in your gf's car. I hope she has a good front stage.
