So, I got bored and decided to make a lamp out of some old speaker parts I had sitting around. The components used are the soft parts from an RE MT that Nikuk mailed to me out of the blue nearly 5 years ago, and a basket and vc former from a Next 6.5" speaker. I used the basket as a base for the lamp and epoxy'd it to the bottom of the former of the MT softparts, which serves as the main body of the lamp. I used the former from the Next speaker to fill the gap between the MT dustcap and the bottom of the lamp fixture.

Still need to decide what I want to do for a lamp shade. Thought about trying to make one out of speakers grills or the like.

But I figured this lamp would compliment the clock I made last year;

Very original. :)

you should use a 15 or 18" basket for a lamp shade!

very nice tho looks like it was a fun project

I think someone likes speakers :)

Creativity at its best :fing34:

Ingenuity at its best. Now bring it to Cali and sell it to some artsy fartsy fatcat as an original piece by Impious!

I'm digging the clock too :)

It's beautiful :woot:
