Posted February 20, 201015 yr Im Looking At Upgrading My Electrical System Since It Will Be The Last Step Towars My New System.Electrical System will be supposrting an SAZ-3000D and a SAE-100.4.the alternator will be a HO once i buy one, Around 140-260 Ampsi dont really know much about electrical systems and AH and all thati just want something that will suppost my systemas well as my alternator could supplywhat i was wondering is would it be better to buy A.) 2 12V Tractor Batteries (Parallel) - $130 A Piece B.) 2 12V Kinetik HC 2000 Batteries (parallel) - $165 A Piece C.) 1 12V Kinetik HC 3800 Battery - $425
February 20, 201015 yr I dont know anything about tractor batteries but it if it was me, I would go with the Kinetics. The 2000s are only $35 more each. Sounds like a good deal.

Hawk

I would go with B.. Also If i'm wrong someone put there two cents in. But I think to make sure your volts stay very stable you would need 100 ah of batteries per 1000 rms power of wattage in your system. Just to be safe I'm saying.. Hawk
February 20, 201015 yr Deka Intimidator anyone?Bingo They will work, you'll need more of them to get the same amount of power though.
February 20, 201015 yr Author Bingo ;)They will work, you'll need more of them to get the same amount of power though.im guessing ill need around 400 AH just to be on the safe side correct?Since itll be supporting the SAZ 3000D and SAE 1.4supposing 100 AH for every 1000 Watts
February 20, 201015 yr I dont think you will need 4 of them, that AH is kinda like a myth. I would start off with one to two of them and go from there, it is hard to say at first it depends on your listening habits and such. The best bet is to buy two and see how your voltage holds up and if your dropping and another battery, make sure you get a voltmeter. Just my .02
February 20, 201015 yr Jay-cee is right. aH is normally useless in a car audio scenario unless you listen to your stereo with the car off a lot.
February 20, 201015 yr Jay-cee is right. aH is normally useless in a car audio scenario unless you listen to your stereo with the car off a lot.I was gonna post that IIRC you had two on the same amps he is using without a HO Alternator but didnt want to put you out there or say some false info.
February 20, 201015 yr Author Jay-cee is right. aH is normally useless in a car audio scenario unless you listen to your stereo with the car off a lot. Right right. the most id listen to my system with the car off would be like 10 min.so im better off leaning towards the 2 HC 2000's for the rearwhat would you recomend for the front?ive read your suppose to get a battery with less AH than the back battery bank?
February 20, 201015 yr If your gonna run 2 HC2000 batteries then place one up front and one in the rear and call it a day, or upgrade your starting battery to the size that fits in the stock location with the HC2000's in the rear if you want to be safe and have overkill on batteries which isnt a bad thing.
February 20, 201015 yr Also not to steer you away from Kinetik talk to Nick at Xs Power Batteries, he will probably have you walking out the door with 2 batteries at the least that will start your car and power your system. Just a FYI and second option.Check out the chart:I Have a XXXXXXX watt sytem. What battery do I need? - SSA Car Audio Forum
February 21, 201015 yr hey man the ah is kind a myth unless you are going to play car off! anyways here is some info for you!!http://www.youtube.com/MaxxsonicsUSAInc#p/u/3/H5MP5F-uJAwhere is one about altshttp://www.youtube.com/MaxxsonicsUSAInc#p/u/2/Fv66sP9EXvQand here is one of the all important BIG 3http://www.youtube.com/MaxxsonicsUSAInc#p/u/1/p82xRzCr-lcalso those tracker batteries you speak of... i asume they are 12volts right and not 24 or 6 or something other then 12 right?

February 21, 201015 yr nice site!! for my next setup (5krms MAX so on burps) it recoomends 3-1800 batteries!!! it is a simple calculator i like it! and it is fast!
February 21, 201015 yr Author also those tracter batteries you speak of... i asume they are 12volts right and not 24 or 6 or something other then 12 right? Right, there 12 V Edited February 21, 201015 yr by Kent

February 21, 201015 yr thats including shipping bigrank, shipping is typically 20-30+ dollars on those batteries so look at it as 180 dollars + shipping each battery
