Yeah! I need them prices man :drink40:

Make sure to router the edges so it "flows" into the door panels better. Otherwise, good start.

Wow those Lexani's look a lot like the Akuza Reaper's I used to have :fing34:

Good start keep it up!

I'd personally use a ply board instead of a solid one. You also want to bolt the board to the metal of the door and not hang it on the door card.

This is what I did. That solid piece will make the door very heavy.

And I did mean to say round over the edges. ;)

Not only heavy, but acoustically terrible in comparison.

The wood is pretty light, its waaaay lighter then MDF.

I was thinking about using self tapping screws and attach it like that.

If i was to bolt it how would i be able to hold the bolt and tighten the nut when the door panel would be against the door?

I'm going to buy carpet or suede today, the wood is painted black. Will post pictures today.

Little update:

I got one panel painted and the other one is ready, i weighed the wood to see if it'll really take an effect.

Both 3/4 pieces weighs in at:

how are you painting them????what color?? have you thought about wrapping them in like vynil or anything like that...

They will be rattle can sprayed black, a couple coats. Then they will be wrapped in either black carpet or black suede.

My headliner and A pillars are black suede, so i will probably go with that.

I am painting them black with a rattle can so if a small blemish or tear happens it will not be as noticeable as if there was no black paint.

thats a filipino looking truck.
