Posted May 1, 201015 yr I've been checking out the forum for a week or so and have seen and read about some realyy cool stuff and I wanted to share some of what my son and I have been working on. This is a car that I purchased for he and I to spend some time together and express some of our passion for the audio and car world. What I plan to show is a somewhat complete project but includes our stereo install as well as the complete project. So here goes.... Edited May 1, 201015 yr by sefugi
May 1, 201015 yr Author are you going to 4g63 it? Naw this is for my 16 year old and we decided that his non-experience with driving it might not be that good of an idea. I have offered to him that as he gets older and maybe gets a job if he likes the car that I would split the cost if he wanted to turbo it later. Thanks for askin'
May 1, 201015 yr Cool man.I wish my old man had some of the same hobbies as I did growing up. Maybe some of my children will.Keep those pics coming~!

My wife hates it most of the time but but my son has the advantage that the old man loves cars and has enjoyed car stereo for years.I was involved with USAC for a couple of years. Had a Escort GT with 8-12" JL's being pushed with the old Pheonix M series amps. Best DB in outlaw was 150-151 but that was a long time ago.

In fact she is really going to hate it if I listen to that inner voice that wants to dump the third row seats and add 2 more 18's. lol

May 1, 201015 yr for a first car.. damn! looks great. don't understand all the bright colors in the engine bay but that's what the metric crowd does.. what do you have in mind for sound to take your mind off a 4" pipe drone?
May 1, 201015 yr Author what are you going to put in it, speaker/amp wise?Since we are trying to do this on a somewhat prefigured buget, my son decided on mostly Soundstream components. Sooooooo-Cheap Headunit-TV-Veiw 7" ScreenAmps for Mids and Highs- 2 Soundstream D-Tower DTR4.500Amps for Subs - 2 Soundstream D-Tower DTR1.2200Front Speakers 1 Oxygen AIR2.63 3-WayRear Speakers 1 Oxygen Air2.203 8" CoaxialSubs 1 Soundstream T5-15 2 Soundstream T5-10Batteries Front-Redtop Optima Rear -2 Kinetiks KHC600CapCell 1 Soundstream SCELL-1000After joining this forum I have realized that these choices may not have been the best, but they are ours now and the project is in progress. Sooooo-We will live with them for now and in the future possibly make changes.
