Posted May 15, 201015 yr I'm going to be posting random pictures of my installation progress here, and keeping notes of what I have\still need.Excuse the brevity!What I have installed currently:Optima yellow top4awg from the hood to the reardirected 1200/6 amplifier2x orion p10d4(old model subs\amp)stock speakersstock hu - using a line out converterWhat I have but not installed:mbquart pvi216 component set - most likely will be replaced later1x sae-1200d1x sax-125.2What I still need to purchase:some pioneer HU with, steering wheel controls, onstar, dashkitanother sae-1200dsome good subs (4xsa-10s? not sure yet.)another batteryHO alt (200amp+)0awg wire, big 3Ok so that's most of it..Now that I got that out of the way..This is what I did tonight:Sealed the rear vents in my truck.First time using spray on foam, I think it turned out pretty well..Got rid of the rattling. Installed a stinger volt meter:slightly crooked, but good enough i suppose...getting ready to hook up to the amp and test my voltages for tuning the stinger unit...turned out it was tuned fine right off the bat. sweet.testing before i throw it in the dash. it's crimped tight..i really need heat shrink wrap and a hot air gun..All set!! it's pretty bright, need to tint it later...Also, some battle wounds struggling with routing the wires under the dash:(yeah, i'll cut my nails)

June 11, 201015 yr Author So I got rid of the sae-1200dv2 and got this in the mail today (thanks Jacob, you rule!):I'm also expecting 6 sundown sa-10's once Jacob gets his shipment...Going to go buy a couple batteries this weekend. Next weekend I'll upgrade to big 3, run some 0 gauge, and see what kind of progress I can make with a battery holder for the rear cargo area.Build is going to take awhile, but it's worth the wait! July 28, 201015 yr Author Small update...Have my six sa-10's...I'm expecting a DC Power 270XP to be delivered to my door today. Getting it put on Friday with a new belt also...Also Friday I'll be receiving a set of Image Dynamics CTX65CS..Should have my 0 gauge welding cable some time next week...August 3rd I'll have my enclosure (built by Argent Audio)Have 3 optima yellow tops. I know people don't prefer them but I figure I'll give them a chance.Looks like things are finally coming together. Should be a week or so until I'm done with this build... July 29, 201015 yr Author DC Alternator arrived yesterday. Looks like a monster. I'll have it in tomorrow. I figure by the 3rd or 4th everything should be setup.
July 29, 201015 yr Looks good so far!! Good choice of equipment. Did your DC alt come with a belt? Mine did, but it was the wrong size.

August 4, 201015 yr Author Argent Audio's enclosure arrived in one piece yesterday... Going to set everything up tonight, just need to wait on the alternator...I'm thinking sometime next week..
August 12, 201015 yr Author Big update...Everything is pretty much wired up except the six sa-10's, engine block to ground frame and my new alternator...Should all be setup by saturday. Subs wired tonight, alternator put in tomorrow...Pics:

August 13, 201015 yr Author Subs are wired up and screwed in. Sounds pretty solid, gains are set real low and SSF isn't set properly currently. Pics and videos tomorrow. HO Alt is being put in then and the engine block to frame ground. I'd post some pics and whatnot now but i'm drenched in sweat. I swear I just lost 10lbs in water weight in 2 hours...Damn heat.
