I'm going to be posting random pictures of my installation progress here, and keeping notes of what I have\still need.

Excuse the brevity!

What I have installed currently:

Optima yellow top

4awg from the hood to the rear

directed 1200/6 amplifier

2x orion p10d4

(old model subs\amp)

stock speakers

stock hu - using a line out converter

What I have but not installed:

mbquart pvi216 component set - most likely will be replaced later

1x sae-1200d

1x sax-125.2

What I still need to purchase:

some pioneer HU with, steering wheel controls, onstar, dashkit

another sae-1200d

some good subs (4xsa-10s? not sure yet.)

another battery

HO alt (200amp+)

0awg wire, big 3

Ok so that's most of it..Now that I got that out of the way..This is what I did tonight:

Sealed the rear vents in my truck.

First time using spray on foam, I think it turned out pretty well..Got rid of the rattling. :D

Installed a stinger volt meter:

slightly crooked, but good enough i suppose...

getting ready to hook up to the amp and test my voltages for tuning the stinger unit...

turned out it was tuned fine right off the bat. sweet.

testing before i throw it in the dash. it's crimped tight..i really need heat shrink wrap and a hot air gun..

All set!! it's pretty bright, need to tint it later...

Also, some battle wounds struggling with routing the wires under the dash:

(yeah, i'll cut my nails)

looks like a solid start! keep it up :captain:

Plus we like pics so keep em' flowing!

So I got rid of the sae-1200dv2 and got this in the mail today (thanks Jacob, you rule!):

I'm also expecting 6 sundown sa-10's once Jacob gets his shipment...

Going to go buy a couple batteries this weekend. Next weekend I'll upgrade to big 3, run some 0 gauge, and see what kind of progress I can make with a battery holder for the rear cargo area.

Build is going to take awhile, but it's worth the wait!

Small update...

Have my six sa-10's...

I'm expecting a DC Power 270XP to be delivered to my door today. :drink40: Getting it put on Friday with a new belt also...

Also Friday I'll be receiving a set of Image Dynamics CTX65CS..

Should have my 0 gauge welding cable some time next week...

August 3rd I'll have my enclosure (built by Argent Audio)

Have 3 optima yellow tops. I know people don't prefer them but I figure I'll give them a chance.

Looks like things are finally coming together. Should be a week or so until I'm done with this build... :turkey:

DC Alternator arrived yesterday. Looks like a monster. I'll have it in tomorrow. :fing34:

I figure by the 3rd or 4th everything should be setup.

Looks good so far!!:fing34: Good choice of equipment. Did your DC alt come with a belt? Mine did, but it was the wrong size.

No...At least not that I know of. Maybe it's burried in the bottom of the box.. :ehh:

Subs are wired up and screwed in. Sounds pretty solid, gains are set real low and SSF isn't set properly currently. Pics and videos tomorrow. HO Alt is being put in then and the engine block to frame ground. :drink40:

I'd post some pics and whatnot now but i'm drenched in sweat. I swear I just lost 10lbs in water weight in 2 hours...Damn heat.

I remember the days of doing installs in the Florida heat (FTL) and it isnt much better in Texas but we gotta get work done, good luck with the rest of the install. :drink40:
