October 10, 201113 yr You should have 3 in the # of common port walls box and in your model it looks as if the wall after the bend is longer then the 2 inches its supposed to be.
October 10, 201113 yr Author You should have 3 in the # of common port walls box and in your model it looks as if the wall after the bend is longer then the 2 inches its supposed to be.thanks for the help. not the worlds best at designing boxes but im learning. heres the changes i made
October 11, 201113 yr Now you changed the length in the calculator but left it 24" in the model. And by the way, the 20" port would end in the corner causing incorrect tuning.
October 11, 201113 yr Author Now you changed the length in the calculator but left it 24" in the model. And by the way, the 20" port would end in the corner causing incorrect tuning.its not 24" in the model
October 11, 201113 yr OK so the ports 25.25" long, still doesn't explain why you put 20" in the calculator. That enclosure would be 6.58ft^3 @ 33.7hz using your displacements.
October 11, 201113 yr Author now i got the dimensions right. For all you reading this, make sure you mesure port lenght from the center of the port, not the inner port wall like i did. Edited October 11, 201113 yr by Bobobass
October 18, 201113 yr Author finally got to start building the new box. here are some pics of the pieces fitted together
