Posted August 23, 201015 yr So I recently posted this thread about the continuous power of the ZED Leviathan amp powering the Image Dynamic CTX65CS comps.I'm on a roll ... - SSA Car Audio ForumI am satisfied to know that the ID comps will run fine with the ZED amps RMS power.I however didn't think about the power handling capability of the SSA DCON 12S4. That sub is rated at 300w RMS and the ZED amp puts out 600w continuous power bridged.Sooo ... will the DCON 12S4 sub be OK with the 600w continuous power that the ZED amp will be feeding it?I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this BUT I just want to make sure. Headroom right?!THANKS!
August 23, 201015 yr Author turn it down and it also depends on your box.Box built to SSA specs for OPTIMUM Ported design for 12" DCON.

SO instead of the SSA DCON 12S4, I should get the SSA DCON 12D4 and wire it in SERIES and then the ZED amp would see a 8ohm load and give it a continuous 300w as stated in the manual. Right?!
August 23, 201015 yr Admin It would be a better choice to run it at 8 ohm mono, no need to over drive the sub woofer with double it's ratting for a daily install. So yes, the dual 4.
