I assume this is normal. Just curious what causes it to make a clicking noise when turning the amp on or off?

eheheheh.... reminds me of the PA amps in the PA setup at the university gymnasium here. BIG relays doing the same job, but they almost sounded like power transfer switches. Like the ones used for emergency generators, lol.

my saz-1500 does the same

It's a limiter for the flux capacitor because if that baby hit 88.8 MPH some serious shit would happen.
