October 20, 201014 yr If you can't fit a Ported enclosure for the 18s then maybe you should use a single 18 in a ported box
October 20, 201014 yr Simply because the sub was not made for that intended use, its like using Fi Q's in an all out SPL build tuned at 50hz.If you want to go to a sealed box, then either look at the SSD's or the Q's.
October 20, 201014 yr Author If you can't fit a Ported enclosure for the 18s then maybe you should use a single 18 in a ported boxThats what I have right now, a 40x36x14 with one bl.recone them to 15s or 12. how much space do you have?i can rebuild to use max space 40x40x15. Ive blown both 18s and rebuild one and have one just sitting in the corner asking to be rebuilt. Id like to do the 2 18s in the that 40x40x15 box ported , but that would be about 3.66^2 ft. Right now with one im at 6.5x with one. Will the two in the slightly smaller per sub box be more out put then the larger per sub box with just one?
October 20, 201014 yr Author Don't put a BL in a sealed box.If you must go sealed, go with a Q.You work at Fi?I dont have to go seal i just wanna use what i have...willl 2 18 bls in a 7.25^3 ft box be louder then one in a 6.5 ^3 ft box?

October 20, 201014 yr Please dont put them in a sealed box wouldnt be good for the subs, or the people listening to it thats 100% horrible noise pollution!
October 20, 201014 yr you don't have the appropriate volume to use both of them in a ported enclosure, and you don't want to run them sealed... Get over it.

October 20, 201014 yr I'd sell the BL's and pick up a couple Q's or SSD's and have a little extra play money. Or at least Recone the BL's smaller to fit in an optimal ported enclosure
October 21, 201014 yr I would do what other people say. Since you say you do have enough room for a 7.5 cuft enclosure then recone the 18's to 15's since you said one is messed up already and put those in the 7.5cuft. Or recone to 12's and put them in a 5 cuft enclosure. Don't put 2 18's in a 7.5cuft box because that's probably how your other one busted. ha
