Just wanted to get a feel for how many of you buy from dealers, online, direct from the factory of only buy used i.e. ebay, craigslist, ssa.com, classified. If you compete at all, I am really interested to find out where you get your stuff.

1. Local Dealer

2. Online Store

3. Factory Direct

4. Used from craigslist, ebay, ssa, etc.

I compete and normally buy stuff used or from the dealer. It really depends on what your buying (wire, hu, etc)

What kind of stuff do you buy from your local dealer?

mostly all online (ssa store, ficaraudio.com, knukonceptz.com, sonicelectronix.com). Only local dealer I dealt with is Argent Audio

Internet stores like SSA and have bought some used stuff.

I buy a ton of stuff from Amazon.com! I freaking love Amazon.

Edit to add.........I would buy local, but they sell crap!

I have 1 shop that I trust going to and the rest is online or direct... Used only if its a great deal/product.

I buy from online, (ssa, ficaraudio, sometimes CL, wires I would buy from ebay/Amazon pretty cheap on there)

But I will never buy from retail i.e. Bestbuy, Electronic Express, CarTronics etc... And local shops generally are more knowledgable about Car audio then retail, but they will use that to their advantage and try to tell you how much your stuff sucks to what they have to offer, and with all the numbers they throw at you, and past exp or events they've attended, it can become very overwhelming and can sucker you right into what their saying.

Pretty much the same boat a Bozz here. There's only one shop here that sells anything worth purchasing. Most of the time I do all my purchasing online, it's just quicker, easier, has a better selection and let's face it, pretty much always has the better price. I do what I can to help support the local shop as it's the only good one we have, but at the pretty much retail prices it's hard to do when I know I can get it cheaper online. I do try to get installation accessories and such items from there as much as possible and we've drummed up enough business with our car club to get a discount for members.

SSA store. or the classifieds on here or classifiedzzz

Been ages since I actually bought anything. :(

I buy most everything online. Better prices and I enjoy shopping naked.

I've got way more to sell than to buy

I am kind of in the same boat.

I buy 98% from reputable online dealers that offer full factory warranties.

2% I buy used.

Rarely do I buy from local dealers. Their prices are ridiculous. I do love RadioShack though!

I miss the old Radio Shack. The last time I went in Radio Shack I was looking for a cheap, last minute CB radio and they told me that they no longer carry/keep any in stock. "WTF? Change your name then." I haven't been back since.
