Posted April 12, 201114 yr I've been putting off installing this because I just haven't had time to do it myself. So finally I just took it to a local shop and they did the install for me while I was at work. I'm very pleased with the results. I had these subs in a Grand Marquis before and it sounds MUCH better now. Anyone who has/had a trunk like the Marquis knows what I'm talking about! Here are the pics of the finished product in the Caddy.2x AQ 15" SDC2.5Sundown SAZ-1500DThe Yellowtop is not connected yet as I picked it up from my dad after the install. I can always do that pretty quickly myself anyway. The Kenwood X592 is in there temporarily until I can buy a touchscreen. The almighty stock subwoofer porn:

April 13, 201114 yr Sweet I had almost identicle setup in my 02 deville looks like you could use more port area though
April 13, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the comments guys.Any pics of the'02 Deville? The box is smaller than I had imagined but oh well. I'm happy with the way it sounds so it's working for me. I think 2 12s or some sealed 15s would bet a better choice for this trunk. Maybe some XCONS later in the year? Hmmmmm...

April 13, 201114 yr Author I really like that Cadillac white. What subs are those and is that box ported?I tried to put 24s on mine about 2 weeks ago but they didn't fit. There is a metal plate under the front coils that rubs against the tire. A shop here in town wants $800 to do the "mod". Unfortunately they are the only place in town that I can find to do it so I might be stuck shelling out that cash.

April 16, 201114 yr Author No, it's not a prefab. You can't really tell from the pics but it is custom fit to my trunk.
April 20, 201114 yr A vid of the hdc3 15's on the 1st gen AQ3500d in the deville, kinda shitty but its the only one i had.

May 7, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated.I got a new phone today, an HTC Inspire. It takes great pictures and videos so I will have some up tomorrow for sure. (day off tomorrow. w00t!!)Jon, I plan on getting rid of these 15s and going down to some 12s (for airspace reasons) on . I'll bring it to you when the real equipment comes. I just wanted to get the stuff I already had in the car as quickly as possible so I could have some bang.
June 18, 201114 yr Author So a new development on the Caddy occurred today on my trip to San Marcus. I met up with Big Jon and ended up with a pair of 15" Sundown Nightshade v1. They are running off my SAZ-1500D and in a box the box I already had. The box will be changed out on my next paycheck. (subs set my bank acct back a bit lol) I was going to mount them inverted but couldn't remember if I had to change up the wiring or any settings on the amp. So for today I just dropped them right in. I was worried they might just destroy the box from the weight. Luckily it's holding up for now. The Nightshades replaced my 15" AudioQue SDC2.5. I snapped some pictures for size comparison.
