Posted June 6, 201114 yr Hey Jacob and the Sundown crew, I had a question that (due to my wording...) may have kept from yielding and useful topics in the searchbar. I have a Nightshade V1 12, and was wondering if it would be beneficial or even feasible to re-cone to a V2. Still on my learning curve about driver components and what does what, but is this a recommended idea? Would YOU do it? Didn't know if it would yield grand results, or if I should just go with a V1 re-cone. Thanks a million!
June 6, 201114 yr Don't do it! The v2 parts don't like the v1 motor lol. So yes you can but it isnt recommened but you might be able to trade up one v2 for your v1 plus cash on your end but you have to ask about that one.
June 6, 201114 yr Author What exactly is soft parts....? As I said in my original post, I'm trying to learn everything I can.

June 7, 201114 yr The parts are in stock; I still keep quite a few v.1 coils around -- but we will have to assemble them. Edited June 7, 201114 yr by sundownz
June 8, 201114 yr Author So I'll need to ship you the driver? Don't know if I can be without my jams for that long :*( Guess that'll give me time to assemble the box I designed and get it in the new car
June 8, 201114 yr So I'll need to ship you the driver? Don't know if I can be without my jams for that long :*( Guess that'll give me time to assemble the box I designed and get it in the new car No, he is saying he needs to glue the parts together, he will then ship you the finished assembly to install in the driver. If you are able that is.
June 8, 201114 yr Author Oh of course. I am pretty mechanically inclined. I've rebuilt every car I've owned, so reconing shouldn't be a problem.
June 11, 201114 yr Rebuilding engines and rebuilding subs are two things im pretty good at... and they are nothing alike
