its not hard, you can save money and aggravation by just goin the speed limit. You never really save much time by speeding either.

Look up Valentine 1.

/thread. :)

+1 Expensive but worth it.

Ya tru but considering I was only 7mph over sucks. Its not like I was driving 20over or was reckless. there is no one that hasnt driven 10mph or less over the speedlimit

ya thats just not realizing what speed your doing. It does suck, ive had my fair share of speeding tickets, some of them were reckless and some were accidental but i learned from each one and ive been ticket free for a few years now. Cruise control is your best friend.

Ya I dunno it was our local cops, and thats why I was surprised. Wrote it down for 7 over so might of just been bad timing getting stopped by him.

Take it to court and get it thrown out, should be pretty easy if you were really doing 7 over. Now if you were really doing 17 over and he brought it down to 7 over, then I'd just pay the fine and slow down.

I got a cheap Cobra one my brother gave me and it has saved me from a few tickets. I'm not much of a speeder, there's just some retarded speed limits around where I live. A couple that if you actually go the speed limit people get pissed off and tailgate you all day.

Same here man. There a road here that the limit is 35. But NO-ONE goes less than 50... I actually have a cobra that I got for a measly $30 at Same Club. And it has saved my arse several times. But I will get the Valentine1 next. Tells you where speed cameras are and everything.

Sorry if there's any errors in my spelling as I am very intoxicated at the moment.

Haha nice man it gets hard to type after you been drinkin for a lil bit. But yea i second that valentine1 its expensive but it tels you if theres cops behind you coming up on you and on the side and front of you and also as he stated it alerts of rafar cameras. But i just do the speeding limit most of the time because i cant afford to get pulled over.

Good looking on the info. Should I just buy it at that price or do u think it would be worth it to find it cheaper

Of course there are times when i speed, but never anywhere near the point where i think i need a radar detector to avoid tickets.

Bell makes good one's, thats what i use.

That said, none of them are going to help you with instant on (POP) radar and laser is difficult too. Not enough time to slow down.

I usually go 5 over in town and 10 over on interstate. Never had problems doing that even when my detector goes off like a Christmas tree.

I drive a Hyundai. It isnt fast enough to speed, especially up hill lol

Lol yea same with my civic, by the time it took to get to speeding id already have to stop again haha, point is just dont speed to the point where your gonna get pulled over

Where I'm from and from past experiences if you have a radar detector on your dash and you get pulled over the cops are typically more likely to give you a ticket just due to the fact of having one. They can also ticket you for "obstruction of view" etc. Just drive the speed limit.

Your eyes are the best detector. Pay attention and you'll be surprised how much warning you have.

Exactly, just be aware of where you are and whats coming up
