well i finallllyyyy get my mustang back in a few days from doing the T5 transmission swap. i have been slowly but surely getting a system together for it. This system is not meant to get loud and rattle everything apart. i listen to country and rock MOSTLY when i drive. but i rarley listen to the music because i LOVE listening to the sound of the V8 under the hood and duel exhaust

anyways, here is what i have so far....

2 12" kicker CVR's

1 kicker ZR240 (oldschool made in U.S.A amp :fing34: )

and pioneer speakers all around. now my question is should i get a sealed box for the 12's, or ported? eventually (when the money is there) im switching to either 1 RE audio 12, 1 Fi audio 12, or 1 SSA 12. i want a all made in usa system but for the mean time, im using 2 cvr 12's. so what do u all think? ported or sealed for the 2 12's?

Be carefull with that zr. Dont mount it directly to the vehicle's metal. It had a floating ground

What do the Kicker CR's perform best in ported or sealed?

Lets see some pics of the car!

How much trunk space do you want to give up?

it dont really matter. the guy at my local audio shop said i could fit 3 15's without a problem if i really wanted it. so that gives u an idea of the size of the trunk. its only 2 12's

My grandfather has a '67, I figure it's about the same size so I know there's plenty of room, I'm just wondering how much you wanted to give up.

ya. i mean id like to keep it as small as it can be.

That should be fairly easy. Looks to be an enclosure with a nice trim panel that works around the hinges to flush it up. In that setup they mounted the amps to the side which cleans up the rest of the trunk. Should look really good in a classic car! Nice lookin' Stang by the way!

I would probably just do 1 then, either ported or sealed depending on your preference as the CVRs like large sealed boxes and your enclosure will likely end up a fairly similar size either way.

I like that idea above as well but I would turn the subs around if your gonna seal it up. 2-12"s sealed will take up the least amount of space, ported will gain you a lil more output. Go sealed and if you want more when you upgrade to the one 12" do that box ported.
